25 - Dont Do This!

Chapter 25

Katie P.O.V

"One bacon sandwich" Brad smiled placing a plate down on the table in front of me.

"Thanks" I replied putting down my phone and picking up the sandwich.

"No problem" Brad said as he sat down opposite me.

"So did you get what you needed in town?" I asked Brad. He had just spent the past hour in town picking up some more food as well as a few thing that's he needed for work.

"I probably forgot something because I always do but I think I got all the essentials"

"Does that mean you remembered the envelopes I need to send off these letters?" I asked holding up a stack of letters which need to be sent of to parents.

"Yep I did" Brad replied pulling them out of the carrier bag that was on top of the table.

"You even got the right size, I'm impressed"

"I'm not an idiot so I think I'm able to buy envelopes without messing up"

"That doesn't mean your not an idiot because I guarantee you've forgotten something"

"Probably" Brad laughed.

After Brad and I had finished eating I cleared up all the stuff and was washing the plates in the sink when someone knocked on the door.

"Brad can you get the door" I shouted to him.

"Why can't you get it?" He shouted back.

"Because I'm washing up!"

"Okay fine" he sighed as he walked down the stairs, past me in the kitchen over to the front door. As soon as he opened the door I heard him slam it shut again.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I heard him snap.

"What wrong?" I asked him as I dried my hands off.

"Why the hell is she here?"

"I'm guessing she is someone you don't like considering you slammed it shut"

"It's Emily!"

"Emily?"

"Yeah Emily as in my bitch ex girlfriend"

"What's she doing here?"

"I have no idea and I don't think I want to find out" Brad said as he walked away from the door.

"Well I do" I replied as I went over to the door.

"Katie don't" Brad said stopping me.

"Why not?"

"Because one of the few things I remember about her is that she causes us to constantly fall out, I don't want that happening again"

"Brad we won't fall out, she was in our lives a long time ago before we were even together"

"But you don't know what she's like"

"Trust me I do and I've dealt with her before, I can do it again"

"Your sure?"

"Yes" I replied as I kissed him before opening the door.

"Brad just let me explain" Emily said as soon as I opened the door, "oh hey Katie"

"Emily what are you doing here?" I asked her.

"I was just, umm well I was nearby so I thought id pop by and see how you all were, I kind of followed Brad back here after I saw him in town"
