2 - Starting From The Beginning

Livi's P.O.V

Yesterday was Brad and Katie's wedding and it was a pretty good day for everyone. Last night after the wedding Brad and Katie went off to their hotel for the night so in the morning they could leave for their honeymoon which sounded amazing and I am super jealous of! After the meal I didn't really get to see her as she was talking with everyone else and very busy! However I did get the chance to give her a hug before she left. She asks me a question as she was being pulled away in to a car but I couldn't hear what it was so I will just have to ask her when she gets back. But she'll never remember!

While I was at the wedding I decided I was ready to talk to James. The truth was I had a vivid idea who he was since my graduation but instantly I knew he meant more to me than the others so I didn't just want to go up to him and talk to him. I took a year to remember all I could and get the courage to talk to him as it took me so long to remember. I know some people may say that was harsh on him but I didn't want to go back to hanging out with him and him be all keen on a relationship and me saying 'no I don't know you well enough', because I knew I did.

After the wedding last night I went back with James and Tristan as 1- I wanted to give some space to Ben and 2- James and I talked all night. We had 3 years to catch up on! We talked until about 3am when Tristan finally came in and told us to shut up so I slept in Connors old room for the night. I woke up at about 8am and went out in to the living room.

"Morning" Tristan smiled as I walked out.

"Hey" James said with the biggest smile ever, "did you sleep well?"

"Yeah I did thank you" I nodded sitting down on the sofa.

"Do you want some breakfast?" Tristan asked and I shook my head. He then headed into the kitchen whilst James sat on the floor across from me and FaceTimed Katie whilst I watched TV. All of us spoke to her before deciding it was probably best to let her go so she doesn't miss her flight.

"I should really head home and get changed" I said to James as we all sat back down on the sofa, Tristan now with a bacon sand which.

"Do you want me to give you a lift?" James asked sitting forward on the sofa.

"Yes please" I smiled and he got up.

"I'll see you soon then Livi, probably a lot more now" Tristan smiled getting up to hug me.

"Yeah it looks like it" I said letting out a small laugh. I followed James out the apartment and down to the car. We drove to my apartment in silence until he pulled up outside the apartment block.

"So, what are you doing today?" James asked as the car stopped.

"I have nothing planned."

"Well, would you mind if we spent the day together, like old times?" He asked looking hopeful and I smiled.

"That would be nice!"

"Great, I'll come back in an hour and a half or so?"

"Sounds great" I smiled before getting out the car, "See you in a bit" I watched James drive away before walking in to the apartment block and up to our floor. I unlocked the door and walked in quietly, I didn't know if Ben was here asleep or what so I wanted to be careful. I shut the door but it clicked and when I turned round I saw Ben sitting on the sofa.

"Morning" I said standing by the door.

"You never came home" He mumbled and I sighed.

"I wanted to give you some space" I said and he nodded.

"Where did you go?"

"I went back with Tristan and James" I said looking at the floor.

"James?" He questioned as we both looked up at the same time, "As in the ex you can't remember" He looked heartbroken but what was I meant to do. Lie to him?

"Yeah, turns out my memory wasn't quite at the stop we all thought it was" I nodded.

"The other guy, it was him wasn't it..."

"Ben, I only spoke to him last night for the first time, I don't know what's going to happen" I walked over and sat next to him.

"No I get it, you two have a history" He said falling back in to the sofa.

"Where do you go after you left?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"Oh, I just came back here" He shrugged.

"Are you doing anything today?"

"No, I thought I would just go for a walk, clear my head and stuff."

"I'm sorry Ben, I don't want you to feel awkward around me, please I just..." I said looking down at my hands.

"Livi, don't worry, I'm going to be fine, we're going to be fine, you just need to give me some time" He smiled at me.

"Thank you" I whispered hugging him. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to him.

"I should get ready" I said as Ben and I let go of each other.

"Yeah, I should probably get out of his" He laughed looking down at his tux.

"Me too" I laughed looking at my dress. We both walked in to our rooms and I got in the shower. I quickly got ready for my day with James. It took me about 20 minutes once I got out the shower. I dried my hair and pulled half of it up before walking back in to the living room. I made my way in to the kitchen to get a quick something to eat. There was a knock at the door and I was about to walk out to get it when I heard the door open.

"Oh, is Livi here...?" I heard James ask.

"Yeah, I'll just get here" Ben sighed in reply. The next thing I know Ben walks in to the kicthen.

"James is here" He said and I nodded.

"Thanks, I'll see you later yeah, film and pizza?"

"That would be nice" He nodded. I smiled at him before walking out the kitchen and to the front door.

"Ready?" I smiled and James nodded as we walked out the apartment.

"I didn't know you lived with him" James mumbled as we walked to the car.

"What Ben?" I asked as we got in the car.

"Yeah, isn't that the dude you danced with at your graduation?" He asked starting the car and driving off.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you were there."

"You saw me?" He asked and I nodded.

"Only for a second."

"So, you two are close then?"

"He's my best friend" I smiled out the window, "Next to Katie of course."

"Oh I see" He nodded.

"So where are you taking me?" I asked trying to change the subject off Ben.

"I thought we could just go for some lunch, maybe walk around London for a bit."

"That sounds nice, where are we going for lunch?"

"I was going to take you to Nandos, but I know how often Katie and Brad probably go there so I though we could try a chinese place, I don't really eat much chinese but I remember it was your favourite so.."

"I actually don't have chinese very often any more, but I'd love to go for some" I smiled

"Good, because otherwise I am out of ideas."

"I don't care what we do" I smiled letting out a soft laugh, "I just want to get to know you again."

"I want to get to know you too!"
