17 - And If They Dont?

"Tris what are you doing here?" I asked him as he walked into the dance studio.

"I'm here to pick up Zoe" he replied.

"And why would you be picking her up?"

"Because we're going out" he explained as we walked into the office.

"What like on a date?"

"Well yeah I suppose you could call it that" he smiled as he sat down on one of the chairs.

"Are you calling it a date?"

"I guess so" he shrugged.

"But what about Harriet?"

"What about her?"

"I thought that, you know..."

"What did you think?"

"That you still loved her and that maybe it would take a lot longer than 3 months to move on to someone else"

"Well of course I still love her and I always will but she's not coming back for a while yet and I think I need to move on"

"Why do you need too?" I asked him as I sat down opposite him.

"Because Brad has you, James has Livi, Connor has Megan and once again I'm the one with no one"

"You have us though"

"But it's not the same and the person that made me feel loved is now thousands of miles away so I think it's time I move on and try and find someone else"

"Well if that's what you want then I hope it works out"

"Thanks Katie"

"So how many dates have you been on?"

"I've only known her for like 2 weeks but we've been out about 4 times maybe and I really like her" tris smiled running his hand through his hair.

"Wow you really do don't you"

"Yeah and I was thinking of asking her to be my girlfriend but I don't know if it's too soon"

"If you both like each other then it's never too soon"

"So you think I should?"

"If you think it's the right thing then yes"

"Hey guys" Zoe smiled walking into the office.

"Hey" tris smiled pulling her into a hug, "you ready to go?"

"Yep" she replied, "is it okay if I go?"

"Of course it is" I smiled.

"Thanks, I'll see you Monday"

"So what do you want to do today?" I asked brad as I went and sat beside him on the sofa and he pulled me into his side, wrapping his arms around my shoulder.

"Well your going to see Livi" he replied.

"I am?" I replied turning to face him.

"Yep!"

"I thought you said you wanted to spend time together on the weekends"

"I did and I do but you haven't seen Livi in a while and just because you now live apart and have jobs it doesn't mean you can't see each other. besides I'll see you later when you get back and we can spend the day together tomorrow"

"It would be nice to see her but are you sure she doesn't have a show today?"

"Nope, I already checked now let's go, I'll drop you off there on the way to Connors"
