December 2018

James P.O.V

Livi and I had come down to my parents for Boxing Day and New Years. It was the day before New Year's Eve and we had all gone out for a walk. Livi and I were talking at the moment but it wasn't a lot. We would say morning and night before we went to sleep and were still staying the same room but we didn't really actually talk much with each other. I don't know what happened between us but something's change and we aren't Livi and James anymore. But then I'm not sure if we ever really went back to being Livi and James.

"James can I talk to you quickly" Livi asked walking beside me.

"Yeah of course" I nodded, even looking at her now I know she's the girl I'm meant to be with. No one makes me feel like she does, which scares me a bit. However what terrifies me even more is that one day she might walk out of my life, and I'll be left with nothing but the memory of her...

"I was thinking of heading back home for New Year's Eve, you know, spend it with Katie and people" she said and I looked at her.

"If that's what you'd rather do, I'll tell my parents we can't stay" I nodded and she shook her head.

"No I think you should stay, spend time with your family and see some of your friends, you don't get to see them much anymore, I don't want to take them away from you"

"You know you're my family too" I whispered and she nodded.

"I know, and I'll be waiting for you when you get home"

"Ok, are you going to go home today then?" I asked and she nodded.

"I will tell your family I have some business with my new job, which I do, but then you don't have to explain anything"

"I just have one question before you go" I said holding her hands in mine, "do you think we'll be okay?"

"I hope so, but I think we need these few days apart, just remember I do love you James" she smiled hugging me.

"I love you too Livi" I said back before we all started to make our way back to the house. We reached the house and Livi went to our room to pack while I helped mum make some drinks for everyone. Once we were all in the living room Livi came back down.

"I'm afraid I am going to have to head back to London today" she said standing in the doorway, "with the show ending and having to start a new job I've got a load of stuff to sort out up in London, I'm really sorry and wish I could stay with you all"

"Oh that's a shame dear but your jobs important" mum smiled at her. I felt bad for my mum, they all think our relationships fine, I can't break it to them that I don't know if it's going to last...

"Thank so much for having me though" Livi smiled as I walked to the door with her.

"I'm getting a taxi to the train station and I'll text you when I'm home" she said looking up at me.

"Get home safely" I whispered placing a kiss on her forehead and hugging her close to me.

"I'll see you in a few days James" she nodded before walking to the taxi with her suitcase. I watched her drive off and went back inside.

"Adam said that you should ring him when you're back" my dad said as I went in to the living room again.

"Yeah I have, he invited me to a party tomorrow night but I said I was going to be here with you guys and Livi"

"Don't be silly! Go and spend it with your friends, it will be far more exciting than here" mum said and I laughed.

"Are you sure?"
