Tristan's P.O.V
After leaving brad and Katie's apartment I headed straight to my apartment block. I pulled the car up outside not caring it was half on the pavement and then ran inside to my apartment. I grabbed the bag from my room which I always have packed incase we have to go away with the band and then ran back down to my car to make my way to the airport. In the half hour journey I kept running through my mind everything that's happened in the past year and worrying that now it will all be for nothing if I'm just a few minutes late.
Once inside the airport I ran across the check in area to try and spot that one familiar face but it was impossible among the crowd of people all checking in.
"Shit" I mumbled to myself as I heard someone over the tanoy give the final call for those boarding the San Francisco flight to check in. I knew that I may already be too late but it was worth a try so I joined the back of the queue at the ticket desk and after a long wait I made it to the front and just about got a ticket for the flight, costing me more than I hoped considering the only seats left were first class.
Checking in and going through passport control and security felt like forever and just as I got through the box next to the San Francisco flight turned from blue to green meaning they were boarding the plane and I still had to get to the other end of the airport. I ran up 2 flights of stairs and along various corridors before finally reaching the boarding gate. If this was a romantic movie then Harriet would still be at the gate because she couldn't bring herself to leave or I would of just missed the plane. Unfortunately the first one hasn't happen but then luckily neither has the second as there are still 5 people waiting to board. I queue up behind them and make my way onto the plane.
"Sir your seat is down that way, 5 rows down on the left hand side" the air hostess says to me and I thank her before making my way towards my seat. As I placed my bag in the overhead compartment I looked towards the other end of the plane and just as I was about to give up looking I saw her. She was say about 10 rows back with her headphones in and reading a book. Just as I'm about to make my way towards her a curtain is pulled across to separate my section of the plane from her and I'm instructed to take my seat ready for take off.

About an hour has passed and we still haven't be able to get out of our seats due to turbulence but a smile spreads across my face as soon as I see the seatbelt sign disappear. I look back towards Harriet and the curtain is pulled back as the air hostesses begin wheeling the trollies through the aisle. I wait a while until they've gone past Harriet's seat and then I get up out my seat and make my way towards her. Although when I reach her seat she's not there, I look around to see her going into the toilet at the other end of the plane and I let out a sigh.
"Can I help you young man?" A middle age man sat in the seat beside Harriet's smiled up at me.
"Oh umm yeah you could actually" I replied.
"What is it I can help you with, umm...sorry I didn't catch your name"
"It's Tristan"
"Well Tristan it's nice to meet you" he smiled shaking my hand, "I'm John
"
"Nice to meet you John" I smile back.
"What was it you wanted Tristan?"
"Oh yes umm I was just wondering if we would be able to swap seats. Of course I understand if it causes any inconvenience, I'm in first class" I said as I show him my ticket.
"And why would you want to swap from a first class seat?" He asks me confused.
"Because I'm in love with the girl in the seat beside you" I admit.
