15 - It's Different Now

"So this is where I teach all of my classes" I said to Zoe as we walked into my studio, "it's no different than the other studio but I've just sort of stuck with this one"

This morning Zoe came into the studio so that I could show her around and make sure she knows how things work and where everything is before she officially starts on Monday morning.

"Okay, will I ever teach in here?"

"You might do if you have a bigger class and I don't have a class at that time but we mostly stick with the separate studios" I explained as we walked down the hallway.

"So is this my studio?" Zoe asked as we walked into Gemma's old room.

"Yep this is where you'll be pretty much all day"

"I don't mind that, it's a nice space" Zoe smiled.

"Yeah we got pretty luckily with this place"

"You most certainly did"

"You'll have some time on Monday morning to sort out anything you want done in this space"

"I think it's all fine, seems like the perfect place for me to teach"

"That's good then" I smiled and Zoe just nodded, "okay onto the next section of the building"

I then showed Zoe around the rest of the studio including the office which I explained was where we store all the important stuff as well as it being a space that's just for us as we each have a desk and it's kind of a place we go away from work but still in the work place. There's then the room which is adjoining to our office and it's just a room with a large table in the centre and chairs surrounding it. We use if for when we have meetings with the bank or other dance schools but we don't use it very often. We also have a third studio which isn't very big but some of the A levels students will come in and use it if they have the day off and I don't mind because we don't have any use for it.

"So that's pretty much it" I said to Zoe as we walked back into the office.

"Great, thank you for showing me around"

"No problem, it will be a lot easier for you if you know your way around so I was more than happy. Is there anything else you want to know?"

"No I don't think so"

"Okay well then I guess I'll see you Monday"

"Yeah I guess you will" Zoe laughed before saying goodbye and leaving.

After she had gone I got out my laptop and decided to do some work whilst I had the time. Just as I began replying to some emails my phone beeped and I picked it up to see a text from Megan.

'Just went to your apartment to find out that your at work so I'm coming to get you and we are going out'

What? Just as I was about to reply to had another text come through.

'Im here'

Sure enough as I looked out the office window, Megan's car was parked outside and she was beeping the horn whilst gesturing for me to hurry up.

I packed up all my things before making sure everything was locked and turned off. I then headed outside and walked over to Megan's car.

"What are you doing here?" I asked once I'd got into the passenger seat.

"I told you, we are going out"

"Why?"

"Am I not allowed to spend time with my friend who I haven't seen in about a month"
