The Marauder's fifth secret {R.L.}

Part 8 {Awkward lunch}

I rushed into the Hall, well rested. I saw the three boys sitting and talking. I decided to join them, as we had no need to sit at our tables during lunch on weekends. I sat down next to Remus, with Peter and Sirius sitting across us.

"Hey guys!" I smiled looking at the boys.

They all avoided contact with me, fidgeting or looking at something else.

"Hey?" I asked feeling an awkward vibe.

They boys still didn't answer me. I frowned looking them all up and down.

"Who cut off your tongues?" I asked sarcastically, trying to grab their attention.

"Sorry Stars we're just-" Remus turned to me, looking at my confusion.

Before he could finish, James interrupted him. He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me tightly.

"Hey gorgeous" he whispered, sitting down next to me.

"Oh, hi James" I smiled lying down against him. "What were you saying Remus?" I asked looking back at him.

He looked up at me, then at James. "Never mind" he mumbled turning back facing Sirius and Peter.

They both gave glazes from James to Remus. I felt like something had happened, but I was unaware what.

"What happened?" I asked looking at the three boys, then back at James.

"Oh nothing darling" James lied. "We just had a small disagreement in the common room"

He smiled, glaring at the boys. He tightened his arms around my waist, holding me closer. I smiled, lying more comfortable in his arms. He softly kissed by forehead, looking down at my eyes.

"Have you eaten yet today Stars?" Remus asked looking at me, ignoring James completely. "I know you didn't eat much yesterday" I could hear light worry in his voice as he looked at me.

I smiled. "I ate breakfast, but I'm not really hungry. But thank you" I thanked lightly. I slowly stood up, letting go of James. "I'm ganna go for a walk, for a little air" I smiled.

I turned, then walked away, nothing to say further. I walked out of the hall, on my way to the middle courtyard.

"Is she okay?" James asked looking at Remus.

"Are you serious?" Remus scoffed looking furious at James. "You're her boyfriend, you should know" he stood up and stormed out of the Hall.

Confused James looked at Sirius, who also stood up. "Padfoot?" he asked feeling betrayed.

"I'm sorry Prongs, but he has a point"
