Part 20 {Half-party 3}

"Geez okay... Moony, yay. Truth or dare?"
"Dare"
"Oh yay, you're not boring. What about you kiss Lucy"

"What?!" Remus and I yelled together.

"You prick" Remus glared at him.

Sirius laughed, then looked at me. "A dare is a dare"

Remus turned to me, looking anxious.

"It's just a kiss Moony" Peter mocked.

Before I could prosses what he said, Remus crashed into my lips, kissing me. My heart stopped completely. Our one second kiss felt like a five-minute kiss to me. Our lips touched, Remus's lips touched mine, mine!

He pulled away, looking back at Peter. "There" he said without looking back at me, he spun the bottle landing on James.

The rest of the night went by faster than ever. I couldn't stop thinking about what Remus said, and the kiss. I know he probably didn't mean anything to him, but for me? I don't know.

"Lucy? Lucy?" Lily snapped, clicking her fingers in front of me.

I suddenly snapped back, seeing everyone stare at me. "Sorry, I uh, zoned out"

"That's okay, truth or dare?" James said, looking at me.
"Oh uh, truth"
"What's your patronus?"
"Oh, a she-wolf"

I suddenly felt Remus's eyes fall on me, as I spoke those words.

"I think I'm ganna call it a night" I said standing up.

"Already?" Lily asked, looking up at me.

"Yeah, it's already 11 at night. And I'm exhausted" I smiled down at everyone, waving goodbye.

Peter stood up, looking at me. "It's late, I'll walk you to your common room" I smiled, walking to the door.

"Bye Stars" Remus greeted, standing up and giving me a hug.

Peter and I left the Gryffindore common room and sneaked down the hall. We tried walking as quiet as possible, but we unfortunately made quite a lot of noise. We reached the Hufflepuff common room, where we had to say goodbye.

"Night Wormtai-"

Before I could finish, Peter's lips crashed into mine, pulling away immediately.

"Peter?"
"A dare was a dare, wasn't it?"
"But you skipped it?"
"No, Remus made me skip it. It was unexpected and very awkward. Night Lucy"

He smiled and walked off, leaving me in front of the Hufflepuff common room.

I quietly crept into the common room, trying to be as quiet as possible. But to my luck, Professor Sprout was sitting on a chair in the common room.

"Oh Lucy dear" She mumbled, looking disappointed.

"Professor?" I exclaimed, shocked to see her.

"I'm disappointed to see you out of bed at this time, even worse, out of your common room"
"I'm sorry Professor"
"You'll have to sit detention on Monday"
"But Professor?"
"I'm sorry dear, you were out of bed"
"Yes Professor"
"Now go to bed miss Wood, before you get more trouble"

I headed to my dorm and got in bed straight away. I fell to sleep thinking about what Remus did. Why would it matter if Peter kissed me? It was just a silly 16-year-old dare.

And that's when it hit me, tomorrow would be my birthday. Tomorrow I would actually turn 16 years old.
