"Hey Mate," Sawyer knocked on the door frame.

Draco looked up from where he sat at the desk with a questioning look.

"Sorry to be a bother," Sawyer smiled apologetically, "it's just you haven't come out of here today and I know it can be depressing...I'm working until tonight, but Luce is just up in her room...you should go keep her some company, she gets lonely."

Draco's grey eyes widened.

"Not that you have to or anything," Sawyer said hurriedly, "I get it if you want to be alone, just thought I'd put it out there."

"Thanks, Thorton," Draco said timidly.

Sawyer's face lit up as he nodded, "I'll be off then, see ya, mate!"

"Bye"

"Come in!" Lucy hollered, turning down her music as someone knocked on her door.

"Draco!" Lucy tried to mask the surprise in her voice as the blond let himself in, "hey! What's up?"

"Er—Thorton sent me up here," Draco shifted uncomfortably, his gaze focused on his feet, "he said you don't like to be alone up here."

Lucy stared for a brief second, not understating what he meant, she never minded spending time alone, sometimes she preferred it.

"I can go if you want," Draco said uncertainty.

He had deep purple bags under his eyes and his cheeks were sunken.

"No! No," Lucy shook her head, "don't be silly, I can use the company!"

She gestured him over and he gently closed the door behind him.

"I was just sewing up some holes in Sawyer's jumpers," Lucy laughed, "a real klutz that one...but who am I to talk."

Draco walked over and sat next to her on the floor, his gaze rested on an unfinished scarf in by the open sewing kit.

"Do you knit?" He asked, gesturing to it.

"Oh!" Lucy shrugged, "yeah, knit, crochet, sew, basically anything, we had a home ec class at Beauxbatons."

"Home ec?" Draco frowned.

"Home Economic," Lucy said, "it's the basics like cooking, cleaning," she gestured to the clothes, "sewing."

The tension released on Draco's face and he nodded.

"Do you knit?" Lucy asked.

Draco shook his head, "my mother did," he murmured, "I've only watched her, I never learned."

"I'll teach you then," Lucy said brightly, "here take this," she handed him the unfinished scarf, "it'll be easier because it's already started."

"Oh, no," Draco pushed it back towards her, "I'll ruin it."

Lucy laughed lightly, "don't worry about it," she put it down in-front of him, "I just started it because I was bored, it's not important."
