"Well this is awkward," Lucy said, pushing her dinner around her plate, "do you guys want to talk to them or something?"

They stared at her blankly.

"You can do that?" Remus broke the tension.

Lucy nodded, looking wearily over her shoulder where both her parents gave reassuring smiles.

"We miss them," Lily smiled sadly at the two men.

"And we've been with them this whole time," James added.

Lucy reiterated her parent's words, and Sirius and Remus were rendered speechless.

"They—they—how are they?" Remus asked.

"They're good," Lucy laughed nervously.

"This is so bloody strange," Sirius cringed, "how's—we—how's Reg?"

"Who's Reg?" Harry asked.

No answer.

Lucy turned back to her parents who were pale, as well...ghosts....

"Mum?"

"Regulus is Sirius's brother," James said slowly.

"He's not here," Lily said solemnly.

Lucy's eyes widened, she took a second to compose herself before turning to face Sirius's anxious gaze.

"He's great!" She said, a smile plastered on her face, "he misses you."

Sirius's face visually relaxed and a smile graced his features, "that's good," he breathed, "he deserves to be happy."

Harry and Lucy finished their dinners quickly, answering a couple more of Remus' and Sirius' questions.

"They left," Lucy said honestly, smiling at the men, "I'm gonna go unpack if that's ok?"

"Of course," Sirius nodded, "if you need anything, Remus's bedroom is the second door on the right down that hallway..." he pointed to a lit hallway across from the kitchen, "and mine is to the left when you get to the top of the stairs."

"You'll have better luck with my room," Remus chuckled, "Sirius hardly ever stays in his own bed anyways."

"Hey!" Sirius pouted, "that's not fair!"

"It's true though," Harry teased.

Sirius rolled his eyes and turned back to the redhead, "but really, Lucy, thanks for tonight."

Lucy nodded and flashed a tight-lipped smile.

"I'm probably going to go up too," Harry took both his and Lucy's dish to the sink.

Lucy climbed the stairs and ducked into her depressingly blank bedroom.

She missed Sawyer, the day had drained her, and all she wanted was to curl up in her warm bed, tucked safely between his arms.

But Sawyer wasn't there.

With a sigh, Lucy pulled open her trunk and began to unpack the necessities for the next couple days.

It was near impossible to register the extent of which her life had changed over the course of a year.

"Lucy!" Harry called, "what do you think about this color?" He held up a midnight blue paint sample.

Lucy scrunched her nose, "way too dark," she commented, "I think I want a purple."

"Like this?" Harry held out a plum.

"I was thinking something more along the lines of...this," she held up a light lilac.
