"He loves you guys," Ron said, with a mouthful of eggs, "won't refuse you anything will he?"
Harry, Lucy, Ron, and Hermione were all sitting at breakfast discussing the meeting with Dumbledore.
"Doubt it," Lucy sighed, "I'm going to go sit with Sawyer, I'll see you guys later."
She pushed herself up from the bench and crossed over to where the Hufflepuff's were sitting.
She felt bad just up and leaving, but she had heard Harry recount the story of last night about five times, and not only did she not support the idea, Dumbledore assigning it to them left a bad taste in her mouth.
"Hey, darling," Sawyer smiled as she leaned down, resting her chin on his shoulder.
"Hey, Luce," Sid said, "haven't seen you in a bit."
"Sorry guys," Lucy said, "O.W.L's this year, my schedule is a mess."
"I don't miss that," Macey laughed, "Lucy I feel for you."
"What about Sawyer and I?" Thea snorted, "we have our N.E.W.T's in like five months!"
"And then the real world," Macey shuddered, "what're we going to do without you guys!"
"What're you planning to fo after school? Thea?" Lucy asked, nudging Sawyer to make room for her to sit.
"I'm going to be an auror," Thea said with a small smile, "make a difference, you know? Get involved with this war."
A solemn silence fell upon the group.
"Do you know what you want to do? Lucy?" Sid asked, clearing his throat, "it's still a couple years off, but it's never too early, you should be having your meeting with McGonagall soon."
"Ah, yeah," Lucy smiled timidly, "I was actually recruited by Gwenog Jones to tryout for the Holyhead Harpies after I graduate."
"What!" Sawyer's shocked face turned to stare at Lucy, "when did that happen?"
Her eyes widened and she swore under her breath, "I'm so sorry! I forgot to tell you!"
"Lucille!" He frowned.
"Don't be upset with me," she frowned, "it was right after the Slytherin, Gryffindor match. You know the one Jones was going to come watch?"
"I can't believe you forgot to tell me!" Sawyer said, "this is huge!"
"I know!" Lucy sighed, "I'm sorry! There's just so much going on."
"This was over a month ago Luce!"
"You know now!" Lucy laughed.
"Congrats," Sawyer huffed, pulling her into his side, "I'm so proud of you."
"Yeah congrats Lucy!" Thea said, "that's amazing!"
"Thanks," Lucy smiled, "I got to go to Arithmancy, bye, Love."
"Bye," Sawyer said, squeezing her hand before she pulled away.
The day dragged and Lucy almost fell asleep in at least two of her classes.
"What is the matter with you?!" Ginny exclaimed, shaking her awake for the third time during Astronomy.
"Maybe it's the Blibbering Humdingers," Luna said, "there's been an infestation in the kitchen, Lucy, have you been down there today?"
"I think I'm just tired, Luna," Lucy shook her head, "I haven't been sleeping well."
"Do you want me to take you to the hospital wing?" Ginny asked, "you're looking a little white, Lu."
