"This is bloody ridiculous," Draco rolled his eyes.

"Hush," Lucy flicked his nose, "stop being a baby."

"I'm not a baby," Draco frowned.

"You whine like one."

"Do not."

"Do too."

"Do not."

"Cut it out," Sawyer gave them a look, "both of you."

"What're we even doing here?"

"You don't have to be here," Lucy said, "you're free to leave at anytime."

"This is disgusting," Draco ignored her.

The three of them were pulling weeds in Hagrid's garden so that it would be ready to plant pumpkins for halloween.

"Draco, it's just a little dirt," Sawyer reasoned, "you can just wash it off."

"It's under my nails!" Draco complained.

"It's on your nose too," Lucy sniggered.

"You did that!" Draco gasped, bringing his hand up to his nose to wipe it off, however, he only managed to smear more mud across his porcelain complexion.

"Is it gone?" He asked.

"Well...er," Sawyer tried not to laugh, "not exactly, hold on." He brushed his hands off and grabbed a compact mirror from Lucy's bag, handing it to the blond, "here you go."

Draco grabbed the mirror, took one look at his face and shrieked.

Without another word, he got up and ran to the castle, taking Lucy's mirror with him.

"Well I guess he's not helping," Sawyer laughed, "and you're definitely not getting that mirror back."

Lucy shook with laughter, "no, I'm definitely not."

"We're almost done," Sawyer said, "Hagrid should be back soon with the seeds."

Lucy nodded, "hey, I've been meaning to ask you something."

"Go ahead," Sawyer said.

"Avery Thorton," Lucy said, "Slughorn mentioned that name and it meant something to you."

"Not anymore," Sawyer sighed, closing his eyes, "just startled me, hearing her name."

"Who was she?" Lucy asked softly.

"It doesn't matter," Sawyer shook his head, "hey, I'll finish this, why don't you go see what Ginny's up to?"

"Ginny?" Lucy laughed, "Thorton, are you trying to get rid of me?"

"Maybe a little," Sawyer grinned.

"You're ridiculous," Lucy scooted over so she was leaning on the Hufflepuff.

They sat in silence for a couple of minutes, leaning against the garden fence.

"Avie..." Sawyer took a hesitant breath, "Avie was my sister."

Lucy turned to look at him, "you said you don't have any siblings."

"I don't," Sawyer said, "she died."

Lucy was at a loss for words, "Sawyer...I...I'm so sorry."

"Don't be," he shook his head, "it was a different life."

"But that's terrible," Lucy covered her mouth, "what happened."

"She was sick, for a long time," Sawyer sighed, "she was fifteen years older then me...I guess I was a mistake, my parents didn't want me anyways, she raised me, dropped out of Hogwarts after her O.W.L's...I think at least, I've had to piece it together over the years. And then she died, my parents decided that they couldn't handle me, put me in the car that same afternoon, and left me on the side of the road...I was just about to turn five."
