"Detention, Ms. Evans, Mr. Thorton," McGonagall chided, leaning over them.

"Merlin, what time is it?" Lucy groaned, reaching up to pat Sawyer's face so he woke.

"Oh, morning, Professor," he said sheepishly, trying an innocent smile.

"It's half past five," McGonagall said, "come now, Mr. Thorton, let's get you back to your own common room. Ms Evans can you manage to make it to your own bed?"

"Yes, Professor," Lucy sighed.

She climbed the staircase and pushed into her dorm.

"Gin?" She whispered, hurrying over to the other girl's four-poster, "Ginny?"

Ginny grunted.

"Oh, good, you're back," Lucy whispered, pulling back the curtains.

"Lucy, what do you want?" Ginny complained, hiding her head in her pillow.

"Come on," Lucy pushed her slightly, "move your fat arse over."

"You are such a pain," Ginny rolled over onto her side to make room, "why're you up here? Did you leave Sawyer by himself?"

"Hah, no, McGonagall caught us," Lucy snickered, "somebody must've told on us. How's Ron?"

"He's alright," Ginny rolled over to face her, "mum is hysterical, they've just left...so have the twins."

"It was nice seeing them," Lucy said.

"It was," Ginny agreed, "they wanted to stay longer to see Ron, but they had to get back to the shop."

"Wonder what we're going to about the Hufflepuff match next week," Lucy said.

"McLaggen is gonna play," Ginny said, "he was hounding Harry about it as soon as we got back."

"McLaggen!" Lucy groaned, "bloody git, I can hardly stand him let alone be on his team."

"Don't even get me started," Ginny rolled back over, "this day has been shite."

"It has," Lucy agreed, she rolled over and closed her eyes, "night, Gin."

"Night, Lucy."

McLaggen was more of a disaster than anyone predicted.

"Harry, you've got to kick him," Lucy pleaded. "I'm going to end up hitting a bludger at him."

"There's nothing I can do, Lucy," Harry took off his glasses to rub his eyes, "we have no other Keepers, it's only for this game."

"Just look at him," Lucy scoffed, "he's parading around in his Quidditch robes."

"What did he do, go down to the locker room this morning before anyone woke?" Ginny raised an eyebrow.

"It appears so," Harry sighed, watching McLaggen shovel eggs into his mouth further down the table.

"Potter, McLaggen is making us look like a joke," Jimmy Peakes said, sitting down next to Ginny.

"Alright, alright, I'll go talk to him," Harry huffed, pushing himself up.

"What a wanker," Kirke rolled his eyes as McLaggen spilt juice down his front.

"Listen, Kirke," Lucy said, "I say we let him get hit a couple times."

"Really?" The other beater looked surprised.

"Why not," Lucy shrugged, "he's driving the whole team mad."

"I say do it," Ginny's nose twitched, "look he's just ignoring Harry. I'm going over there—"
