"Apparation Lessons," Harry read.

Ron was taking out his quill to sign after Hermione when Lavender crept up behind him, slipped her hands over his eyes, and sung, "Guess who, Won-Won?"

Out of the corner of her eye, Lucy was able to see Hermione stalking off.

Harry went to follow the girl and Lucy trailed closely behind him, but to their surprise, Ron caught up with them only a little way beyond the portrait hole, his ears bright red and his expression disgruntled.

Without a word, Hermione sped up to walk with Neville.

"So—Apparation," said Ron, "should be a laugh, eh?"

"I dunno," said Harry, "maybe it's better when you do it by yourself, I didn't enjoy it much when Dumbledore took me along for the ride."

"Really?" Lucy asked, "I mean it's definitely not pleasant but I definitely prefer it to floo."

"Are you joking?" Harry looked at her like she was mad, "I thought I was going to pass out."

"Maybe you're just not used to it," Lucy shrugged, "it barely has an effect on me."

"I forgot you guys have already done it," Ron said, "I better pass my test the first time. Fred and George did. Charlie failed, but Charlie's much bigger than me," he held his arms out like a gorilla, "we can't take the test until we're seventeen...yes? That's only March for me!"

"You two are lucky," Lucy sighed, "I've still got a year and a half until I'm seventeen."

"Yeah, but you got Sawyer," Ron said, "he's of age, and he can apparate."

"Yeah," Lucy agreed, "but he's graduating this year."

"Don't mention to anyone that you've apparated before," Harry warned, "they're going to hound you about how it feels."

"Wasn't planning on it," Lucy laughed, "I have to go find Ginny, I'll catch you guys later."

"Lucy, hold on, before you go," Harry called her back.

"What?" Lucy asked.

"My lesson with Dumbledore is tonight...eight o'clock...come with me?"

"No fair! Why does she get to go?" Ron whined.

"Oi! Shove it," Harry glared at his friend.

"Yeah, ok," Lucy nodded, "I'll meet you in the common room then."

"Thanks, Lu," Harry kissed her cheek, "I'll see you later."

"Bye," she waved, turning down a separate corridor.

"What took you so long?" Ginny asked as Lucy sat in the chair across from her.

"Sorry, I was talking to Harry," Lucy said, taking out her books, "they posted a sign up for Apparation lessons on the board."

"It's scary Ronald is going to be of age," Ginny shuddered, "I swear to Merlin, he is such a child."

"Yeah, Sawyer will be 18 next week," Lucy said, "it's absolutely mad."
