That February was the coldest Lucy had ever experienced in all her winters at Hogsmeade.

"You'd think they'd heat the bloody castle when it's this bloody cold." Ron complained, pulling a blanket tighter around himself.

"You are a wizard," Sawyer chuckled, "cast a warming charm yourself."

Ron shot a glare at the Hufflepuff, "why're you even here? It's against the rules to be in other houses common rooms."

"Oh and you're such a devoted follower of the rules, Ronald," Lucy rolled her eyes.

"Leave them alone, Ron," Ginny said, taking a sip of her hot chocolate, "where is your girlfriend? I'm surprised she isn't hanging off of you like a parasite."

"She's with the Patil twins," Ron huffed, "they're doing something with Trelawney."

"Typical," Harry snorted.

"Oi! What's that supposed to mean?" Ron asked.

"Nothing!" Harry laughed.

"Harry? How many jumpers do you have on?" Ginny teased with a smile.

"Oh...uhm...six," Harry mumbled, his face burning bright red.

"Give me!" Ginny laughed, reaching out, "I don't want to go all the way to my dorm and I'm freezing my arse off."

Harry pulled his sweater over his head and handed it to the youngest Weasley.

Lucy shot her a look to which Ginny quickly looked away.

"It's so rotten out," Sawyer groaned, "somebody ought to go to Dumbledore and tell him to make it stop."

"I have half the mind to learn the charm myself," Ginny said, "I could use a nice summer day right around now, I'm beginning to look pasty."

"You're a ginger," Ron rolled his eyes, "when are you not pasty?"

"Oi!" Lucy laughed, "gingers aren't always pale."

"Yes, because the three of us support that argument splendidly," Ron said sarcastically.

"Oh, shut it will you?" Ginny rolled her eyes, "Harry, listen, you've got to cancel practice tonight."

"I can't," Harry sighed, "we're too behind, we need the practice."

"Absolutely not," Ron shook his head feverishly, "mate, are you mad? It's like negative thirty degrees out! It's so cold we're literally going to freeze our arses to our brooms."

"Harry I will not go," Lucy said seriously, "I am not kidding, I will just not go."

"Lucille," Harry gave her a look of disappointment, "really?"

"You can try to guilt my all you want but I'm not going," Lucy said plainly.

"Lu, that's mean," Sawyer said.

"Oh, be quiet, Badger Boy," Lucy huffed, "you're just taking his side because you don't have to go."

"Sorry," he laughed, kissing the top of her head.

"Fine, I'll make it optional then," Harry said.

"Bold of you to assume anyone will show," Ginny snorted.
