And because of that, is why Yoongi had left in the dark of the night, when he was sure Hoseok was in deep sleep, with tears streaming, trying to quiet his sobs as he placed the note he had written throughout the past days on the small bedside table.

Yoongi had studied his face closely, taking in every centimeter of if. The little moles- one on his cheek , just under his nose, and the last one on his lip. Those uniquely shaped lips he wanted so bad to kiss one more time, yet feared waking him. He wished he could see Hoseok smile one last time-- no two more-- so he could see the small straight smile that brought his tiny dimples out he loved just as much as his radiant one.

As he mounted his horse, he couldn't help but have deja-vu of the time he had brought Hoseok back to the stones, only he was the one running away this time, and wouldn't be there to see Hoseok travel home safely.

But a part of him was okay with that, unlike before, even though this time hurt ten folds more, he told himself, "I'll come back to you one day, love." He knew it wouldn't be long before they'd see each other again.

He just had to kill Hyun Dongjun.

Hoseok was not asleep, though, for better or worse.

Perhaps at first, that was, until he heard the choked sobs and cracked his eyes open to find Yoongi fully dressed and gathering his things with haste. Everything in him told him to get up and ask his lover what was wrong, wrap his arms around Yoongi and let him sob all he wanted as long as he would be the reason he smiled again, but Yoongi was clearly in a rush and Hoseok wanted to know the source that surely must be the cause for Yoongi's almost depressive aloofness over the past days.

So Hoseok quickly got dressed the moment Yoongi shut the door, took the note Yoongi had dramatically decided to leave for him, shoving it inside his robes without reading it, and followed him from as much distance as he could. Hoseok watched on as Yoongi got on his horse and began riding off in the direction they were supposed to go tomorrow morning anyway.
