"Just lay down, Jungkook," Hoseok urged him lightly.
Jungkook sat up from the bed mat in the rented room at one of Cheonan's Jumak. "No, no...we have to go..." he whined childishly. Jimin pressed a hand to his chest for him to stay down.
"You're sick," Hoseok seethed.
"I'm not bad..."
Not a moment later, he erupted in coughs, the strain adding to the sweat on his feverish forehead.
Hoseok sighed. "I'll go get him a proper meal and more water."
He wasn't quick to grab the food, letting his feet drag with each step. The days had been dragging by slowly. Now halted due to Jungkook's illness, a disappointment, even as much as Hoseok cared for him.
When he re-entered the room, all eyes were anywhere but him, except Jungkook whose mouth was open, ready to speak for them.
"Hyung. Go without me."
Hoseok scoffed. "What?"
"Yeah. There are two horses. Taehyung just..." He glanced up at Taehyung who was guiltily rubbing the back of his neck. "-uh found... a third.. horse. You can get there faster too."
"Kook, I'm not just gonna-"
Jimin held his hand up, interrupting him. "He's right. I'll stay with him. It's not his fault, but that doesn't mean you have to be held back either. I can't imagine just how much you want to see Yoongi. How painful this has all been... This way, if by some unfortunate chance you don't find him, you can keep looking faster without us dragging you behind."
Hoseok shook his head, eyebrows furrowed in frustration. "I can't just leave you guys. How will we even find you again?"
Jimin stuck out his hand. "Joon, you got another map? I know Soojin always had a stack."
Namjoon nodded and reached for his pack to take out one of the scrolls.
Jimin took it and studied the path to the red dot. "We'll just- when Jungkook is fit to travel, we'll meet you at the destination marked on the map. That's where we'll all meet again."
