Rot, rot, rot.

That's what Yoongi's mind seemed to be filled with. It had spread from his limbs to his heart and then his head where lie the seat of his soul.

Hoseok seemed to be aiding him in slowly sucking it out like a poison, but like his immune system would ultimately be responsible for if he would pull through-- another could only do so much when it's your own head.

It had been a week since Yoongi had been back, maybe more. He stopped counting days long ago. It didn't really matter anyway. The days seemed to blend together for this was the most sedentary Yoongi had ever been in his life. Not by choice, of course. It was just what he was used to--always going and running and obeying and stealing and lying and killing. Now he was just Yoongi. Funny, he's the least amount of Yoongi he's ever been.

He'd eaten regular meals recently, let Hoseok clean all of his wounds eventually two days ago, and even spoke briefly with Namjoon. And by briefly, he means Namjoon talked and he nodded a few times. He didn't feel like talking. What was there to say?

"Hey, I'm glad to see you, sorry I'm fucked up now."

He could, but then everyone would be uncomfortable.

It didn't bother him really, though. He always thought he was fucked up. Now he was really fucked up.

"Soojin has... passed away. He fell when we attacked the fortress," Hoseok had taken his hands gently with his own trembling ones and struggled to get the words out, imagining Yoongi would be devastated. He should be.

Yoongi wanted to say he felt utter agony, a painful ache of sadness deep in his heart that grief brings, but Yoongi didn't like to lie to Hoseok. Anyone but Hoseok. He felt nothing. Not nothing. Maybe a bit of disappointment, something along the lines of unfortunacy and hurt, but other than that, his mind was filled with numbness.

"Oh..." he managed to say because Hoseok was expecting a reaction.

"I'm so sorry, Yoon."

Yoongi nodded.
