"It's good to see you again man," Namjoon rasped, clapping Yoongi harshly on the back, already tight in his hold.

"You too, Joon," Yoongi muttered quietly with a smile, eyes still glassy and red from all his previous tears.

"This is Jin." Hoseok pointed him out, as he awkwardly stood a distance away from the rest of them. "He is my childhood buddy. He was... all I had for the last few months, so I'm very grateful to him." he shot Jin a smile.

Yoongi's eyes flickered to him and Jin found his neck craning inward involuntary, arms hugging himself under Yoongi's gaze.

"Hi, Yoongi. Um...Hoseok has told me so much about you. All good things. Congratulations on uh...finding each other again."

Yoongi broke out into a small smile. "It's nice to meet you. Thank you for being there for him when I could not." Yoongi bowed deeply.

Seokjin's shoulders immediately relaxed, arms dropping by his side. "I like him, Seok. Is your boyfriend single?"

Yoongi shot Hoseok a confused glance.

Hoseok shot him a glare playfully, with no ill intent. "That will be a no, thank you."

"Look at us walking by the ocean like this," Hoseok beamed, glancing down at their intertwined hands and swinging them.

Yoongi blinked at him then stared down at the hands. "Is something...wrong about it?"

Hoseok shook his head. "No, not wrong. It's like... well it's a thing couples do in my world--walking along the beach holding hands. It's kind of a cliche thing."

Yoongi stared at him attentively, as if Hoseok's mundane words were the most important thing he's ever heard.

Hoseok knitted his brows together and nodded the more he thought about it. "But you know what? It's normal. I like normal. We need a little normal. No more of this saving, risking, fighting..."

Yoongi nodded. "I would love that. I think...I'm finally done fighting."

Hoseok didn't hide his surprise. As much as he knew Yoongi deserved all the peace in the world, in everything Yoongi said and did, such things had been raised and set in every fiber in his being. When one has such an exciting life, no matter how painful and plaguing, trading it for something ordinary sedentary is a hard thing to adjust to.
