They had walked back quietly, Hoseok hooking his arm around Yoongi's in their peaceful silence. Yoongi had never felt such content before. He'd been in these woods many times by himself, but now that he had shared it with Hoseok, it was a new pleasure that he hadn't dreamt of experiencing.

Yoongi liked to be alone, whether it was just because he had grown used to it or didn't know anything else, or perhaps truly did revel in being himself when he was alone. But with Hoseok, he wasn't sure how he would go back. Even though Hoseok was the more extroverted one of the two, he allowed Yoongi silence and time to recharge.

He found it so much better than when he was alone.

And Yoongi thought some more about why that was.

Was it because he wasn't alone? Because he was with Hoseok?

If he had gone here with Taehyung or even Miyeon, like he probably should have one day, would it have felt the same?

No. He supposed it didn't.

He found his heart pounding just a bit faster at the thought, deciding to unhook his arm from Hoseok.

He shouldn't be feeling this way, he told himself. Maybe it was a phase, a lonely desperate phase that was fed by the lack of love in his life. He chuckled to himself. No it wasn't a simple phase. That's what made it worse. It ran far deeper. And only for Hoseok.

"What's so funny?" Hoseok had asked, sensing the battle in his mind when Yoongi had unhooked their arms and the bitter chuckle following it.

"Nothing." He shook his head, smirking at Hoseok before turning his head away and revelling in one of the few peaceful moments he had while it lasted.

Their walk seemed shorter than it was, though even though most of the day had passed. Hoseok felt the responsibility of his job as a doctor fall back onto his shoulders as soon as he returned.

People had started coming to him more if they could. One woman had been waiting outside his door when he arrived, asking for something to help with her tiredness during the day.
