"Jimin, Ji- slow down..." Jung nearly begged him breathlessly.
Jimin stopped immediately, turning around as if he could see him, but they were in the middle of the woods now. At night. The same night they escaped. And Jimin was following the moonlight. In the wrong direction at that.
"Are you okay?" Jimin asked his escapee friend with concern.
"Is there nowhere we could- could find water? Or somewhere to sleep?"
Jimin chuckled as if he was crazy. "Unless you can magically detect water, I have no idea. I can... try starting a fire, though? We can stop... and I'll- I'll start a fire."
Jung nodded and sat down with a thud on any spot he deemed fit on the forest ground.
Jimin stood in place for a moment, spun around once, and apprehensively began to pick up some sticks, closely inspecting each and throwing away the dejected ones. He took his place in front of his tired friend and awkwardly positioned the sticks together and began rubbing to create friction he hoped would catch a spark.
"Why do you look like you've never lit a fire before?" Jung joked lightly, adding a breathy chuckle that merged with the end of his words.
"I- I have. It's just been a while... I don't usually do it this way either..."Jimin spoke defensively.
Jung chuckled lazily. "I'm just messing with you...."
"Messing with me?"
"Joking with you. I probably couldn't light that if my life depended on it." he reached out to lazily pat Jimin's shoulder from behind him.
Jimin smiled to himself. He always felt less competent compared to the rest of his friends--always out fighting, doing extravagant things. Even Hoseok now. He saved people all the time. Even if it wasn't with his sword.
'Who have I saved? No one...'
Jimin felt the need to apologize. "Hey, I'm sorry I hesitated back there... I didn't use the sword on that guy. I could've gotten us captured again. Or killed."
