Hoseok snapped awake, as if he'd forgotten to do something, and found the space next to him empty.
'Yoongi...'
"Yoongi?"
He frantically darted his eyes around the small cavern and then out into the woods. It was still cloudy out. He might not know it was daytime if it wasn't just that much lighter than when he last saw the sky. But Yoongi wasn't anywhere. Worry began to wash over him as he crawled out and searched the area.
"Yoon-"
Before Hoseok could finish calling out his name, the said boy strode out casually from the woods, his face screwed up at Hoseok as if he was strange.
"What? Were you worried? I just went to take a piss..." Yoongi stated flatly, flickering his eyes up only briefly at Hoseok whose mouth was hung open.
"Thought maybe you left me..." Hoseok admitted softly.
"That wouldn't benefit me," Yoongi answered as he took a glance around the forest, as if deciding their direction.
Hoseok shook his head, giving him a look of disbelief. "What happened to the nice soft sweet Yoongi that you were to me?"
"It was fake."
Hoseok shook his head, squinting his eyes, and pursing his lips cutely. "Nah I don't believe that."
He wasn't going to give up on Yoongi so easily. He would tease him and put on a nice attitude that everything was fine. Especially now that they were stuck together for a while. Maybe even the rest of their short lives until they starved or got killed by "ghosts" or vagabonds within the endless woods.
"Well you killed what was left of him, then," Yoongi lied dramatically.
Hoseok strode tiredly over to his bag, taking out the small canteen of water he was lucky to have. Or maybe not so lucky, since it was this stupid thing that he had in his hands instead of the reins of his horse before it ran off.
He took a swig, noticing Yoongi was watching him.
"What ever happened to your horse?" Hoseok had asked him curiously.
