Jimin watched on solemnly, disappointment and loneliness filling his gut as Hoseok was dragged out of his cell and the voice of Yoongi echoed in the hall--surly he came to rescue him. Jimin felt relief for his friend.

No one would rescue him. He smiled bitterly to himself. Maybe Taehyung would've once, he thought.

He couldn't help but remember fondly of the small hours him and Taehyung spent growing from kids and into their teens.

It was funny. Hoseok and Yoongi seemed to remind him a bit of what they were once like. Though not as shy, tip-toey, and clear feelings of more than friendship for one another.

Jimin had grown to like the village and the outskirts of the valleys the older he grew, only travelling as far as the river. But Taehyung wanted to explore the world beyond, especially after he served as a foot soldier. And that was okay. Jimin understood. But as Taehyung grew and changed, their friendship had seemed to die off like the leaves of fall.

Jimin was fine. 'As long as he was happy', he often told himself. He just wished he hadn't lost Taehyung more and more now as the days go by.

He had watched absentmindedly a few guards come in from the faint light of the right entrance and go down the left, into the darkness of the dungeon. Soon after, he heard the squeak of a cell door open somewhere nearby and a soft grunt as someone was thrown in. It sounded like it came from Hoseok's old cell.

All was silent as he watched the guards walk out and waited for any movement or sound. Soon it would be dark outside, he guessed, and so he closed his eyes.

"Hi," a soft voice sounded from the cell next to him.

He'll admit, it startled him a bit, expressing it with a jump, since the room was previously dead silent.

It was much too dark to see, but it was obviously a man, perhaps no older than 30 by the sound of his voice.

"Hello..?" Jimin called back hesitantly.

The young man sighed. "I thought I'd be alone. Until I heard someone had escaped. He got lucky, it seems."

Jimin chuckled at the soft spoken voice. "I probably won't be leaving soon, so..." he trailed off, indicating to the young stranger that he would not be alone, since there would be no one here to rescue him.
