"Hoseok, get up. I hear people. Doesn't sound Korean. Fuck why the fuck are we out here?!"Hoseok fluttered his eyes open easily, heart quickly thumping with excitement when it finally registered where he was. The forest had grown again, grass revived from its death in winter. The air was more comfortable than when he left--the scorching May weather.
Jin was crouching next to him, hiding in his pink hoodie, Hoseok noticed. His eyes were round and carefully studying the area.
"There-there was a cave-" Jin muttered to himself.
Hoseok simply beamed at him. "Wow... I can't believe you're here. Can't believe it worked." Meanwhile, poor Jin was having a mental breakdown.
"Ah!" Jin's screeched, eyes meeting Hoseok's. "Oh, God..."
"I've never traveled with someone before."
"Ah! This isn't real... I'm- I'm just forgetting..."
"Oh, do stop being so dramatic. There's nothing to be scared of. This is exciting." Hoseok hopped up, noticing his own clothes as he dusted off his very much 21st-century black scrubs the school had recently required him to wear. Well, they didn't look too far off from the white clothes often worn under robes anyway. Jin on the other hand...the pink hoodie would have to go.
Jin stood with him. "What?! I'd say there's plenty to be scared of! You- the Hoseok I knew... would be screaming bloody-fucking-murder about now."
Hoseok clicked his tongue. "Well. I suppose I did the first time. Come on, let's go." He reached for Jin's forearm, gripping tightly. "They were shooting at me last time though," Hoseok added.
"What? No... this can't be happening. I don't believe this is happening," Jin whimpered.
Hoseok shrugged. "If you say so." He surveyed the area, determining their direction. The sun was behind them, so, "Right it is."
"But We- we were in a cave-" Jin pointed to the stones as Hoseok began dragging him along/
"Yeah, I know. They weren't in the past. Must be a mistake during the reconstruction of the wall at a later century. They probably thought the stones were a part of the wall since they're so large. The fortress takes a lot of damage over time. Whoever decides to rebuild the wall obviously got it wrong from the original. Which is stupid, because they're plenty far from the fortress. But they stand alone." He glanced back at the stones as he walked away from them. "They're meant to be free."
