It was after dinner now, Jungkook happy and full for the first time he'd been here. No longer filled with small scraps of bread or decaying fruit or whatever was thrown at him, but nice warm stew from Grandma Park, or whatever her real name was since she really wasn't Park Jimin's grandmother. But Jimin had only addressed her as 'grandma', so that's what she was to him.

Jungkook bowed politely after the meal and Grandma Park insisted he stayed as long as he wanted, and perhaps helped her with some things once he was feeling better and with proper rest. The house was small, they were not well off, after all, only consisting of a kitchen/dining combo with barely enough room to move and two bedrooms, one of them smaller than the other that probably wasn't built to be a bedroom. Jimin had the bigger one. So off he trudged reluctantly to Jimin's room where he pointed to a spot on the floor and Jimin helped lay blankets out for him and left him be.

"This is why I insisted you take the bed mat for tonight. You need the rest more than I do." Jimin had said just before leaving, to which Jungkook had quickly shaken his head with a, "No, no it's fine. This is your house. "

It wasn't ideal, but it was enough to make Jungkook dozed off, though was kept awake with the sound of voices. They were not used to guests, you see, and were unaware sound travelled easily through the house.

"But where did that boy come from?"

"Well... the same place you found me, actually."

He heard Grandma Park let out a gasp. "Then he is a gift from the gods-"

He could just picture Jimin sighing and bringing a hand up to his forehead. "Please don't start this again.."

"But it's true. He is a gift from the gods brought to you, just like you were a gift brought to me. I remember the day I found you. So small you were, frail. I knew it then. You must take care of him well."

"Okay... grandma," he heard Jimin retort with disbelief.

Jungkook was unable to shut his for most of the night, that is until he heard Jimin enter the room, and abruptly shut his eyes as if he'd been sleeping for hours, hearing Jimin carefully step over him and plop onto the mattress.
