"The highest General, Hyun Dongjun, has taken enough Joseon lives, has helped in the deterioration of our country for far too long. I know how you feel. I know you're scared. The king is blinded by the General's past loyalty and that of his father's It's a gamble to stand against him." Hoseok glanced around the Jumak in Uijeongbu, the first place he had known to be influenced by the Qing--first signs of it back when he was ordered to treat a state councillor who told him to run and that he knew of the General's rumors. This would be a jackpot for willing men.

He had gathered a small crowd in his follow, though some not present. A few were runaway soldiers, some coming from at Namhan fortress, others met in the different Jumaks they had stopped at, (Hoseok repeating his speech then as he was delivering now as if it were a script for a drama) and some he found in hiding around the outer banks of Seoul--eager to travel with Hoseok and his company in order to help take down the General who had ruined their lives.

Behind him sat Taehyung, Jisoo, Soojin, Namjoon, Jimin, and Jungkook--all of his friends watching his back, hands on the hilt of their swords just in case.

Next to him were five ex-soldiers with their own stories of the General.

And in front of him was a local crowd aware that the Qing was about to pull the rug under their feet in their northern town of Uijeongbu.

"I don't know what you've heard, but the whole reason the Qing have managed to silently creep into your town is because of the treasonous ways of our General."

Gasps erupted from the small half-drunken crowd, some people not surprised, muttering small "I told you's" and "see?"

Hoseok turned around, holding a hand out towards Namjoon who settled a stack of papers in his palm.

"This," Hoseok held the papers up, "is a copy of one of the early letters sent by a Qing official to General Hyun." He begun passing out the copies, Hoseok had written each by hand, precisely matching the handwriting as best he could. "As you can see in this letter, the officer addressed him as, "General of Joseon." He held up the worn original as the copies were passed around.
