While she may not be incredibly close to the sleeping dragonslayer, Bisca knew enough about Galatea to figure out where she run off too.
Jumping a top a few boxes to reach the rooftops of Magnolia, she propelled herself onto a window sill of the second floor of the First Fairy Tail Guild Hall. Clambering up, until she reached the roof, she spotted the outline of someone leaning against the bell tower.
"You've picked one hell of a spot to mope."
Galatea looked over from staring at the ocean, to the green-haired sharpshooter.
"I see you found me." Galatea said, looking back across the ocean as Bisca took a seat next to her.
"I had to narrow it down to a few places. It was between here, the roof of Kardia Cathedral, and the Magnolia Tree." Bisca said.
"Are my hiding spots that predictable?"
"Not really, I just went with intuition and what I know of you." Bisca said.
Galatea hummed.
"Listen, I'm sorry for us pushing you." Bisca said, "Emotions are running high, and we went out of control."
Galatea nodded.
"I'm not mad anymore, it's just..." Galatea said, "Romeo's questions brought back unpleasant memories that I like to forget."
Bisca nodded.
"We'll remember not to bring it up again." Bisca said, "And besides, we should head back."
Galatea shook her head.
"I-, I need more time." Galatea said, "Its certain that we're joining the Grand Magic Games but I need a little more time to re-order my thoughts."
Bisca nodded, moving a little closer me.
"I know you don't want to let anyone in too close, for fear of what could happen." Bisca said, "But I want you to know that I think of you as a daughter. I'll always be there for you, to the best of my ability."
Galatea looked up at the older woman.
"Really?"
Bisca nodded, and Galatea wrapped her arms around the older woman.
"I always thought that I was just a stand-in while you all waited for Team Tenrou to return." Galatea said, "I came to you guys when you were down, so I didn't think it was right of me to get attached. Apparently I've been wrong all along."
Bisca smiled, running circles on Galatea's back.
"It's okay, just let it all out..." Bisca comforted.
"How could I have been so stupid!" Galatea ranted, "I joined Fairy Tail because they were a family, unlike them."
"Tea..." Bisca asked. "Is them your old guild?"
Galatea pulled away from Bisca and looked up at the stars. Bisca was surprised to see a tear roll the dragonslayer's face.
"Five years ago, I decided to join a Magic Guild." Galatea said, "I wasn't good with people, so I joined the first guild I met. It was a small guild, no one knew of them and the people there were kind and considerate of my lack of social skills or understanding."
"I was happy. They weren't a powerful guild by any standards, and jobs were often hard to get. My standings as a Dragon Slayer helped get the guild some attention, and on the anniversary of me joining, my old Guild Master made me one of their three elite mages."
"I had everything I wanted in life. I had a best friend, who was my partner on jobs, and my Guild became my family." Galatea side, with a nostalgic smile on her face. "But then, a year or later came, and the Master announced he was going to retire. He appointed a new Master, and everything changed. Certain events happened, and I didn't leave on a good note."
