The fleeting hope from Fairy Tail's win was gone.
Galatea felt nervous upon hearing 10,000 dragons were coming to Fiore at this moment. As far as she knew, Andromeda and Acnologia were the only living dragons on the continent.
"Tea, is something bothering you?" Makarov asked, catching the attention of the guilds around them.
"It's just that..." Galatea started. "Dragons are massive. I don't know how 10,000 could be hiding away. When I last talked to Andromeda, she was the only dragon left living on the entire continent of Ishgar besides Acnologia."
"Do you think she could be apart of the group?" Ichiya questioned.
"No." Galatea said, shaking her head. "I know her. She wouldn't do that."
"That is strange." Laxus said, "I mean, you said that Andromeda hides away in a remote mountain range because she's so massive. How could 10,000 dragons hide away?"
"I have a bad feeling about this." Galatea said. "Especially since today is the anniversary of when the other dragon's disappeared."
"Now that I think of it." Gajeel said, "Why did Andromeda not disappear?"
Galatea shrugged.
"I have no idea. She mentioned something about her magic keeping her alive or something." Galatea explained, "She's rather ill though. I can't be around her for two long before she becomes sickly. I visit her once a year to do a healing ritual that strengths my sealing runes, but I can only stay for a couple days before I have to leave."
"Did she ever mention our dragons?" Wendy asked, walking up next to Gajeel. "Grandeeny and Metalicana?"
"No. The only dragons she ever mentioned was Igneel and Acnologia." Galatea said, "She told me to watch out for Acnologia, as she had some bad blood with him and we would probably target me. Which is true, seeing as he did try to kill me."
"It is possible that Acnologia could be among the army of dragons heading out way." Freed said, "If so, we need to think this throughly."
The Fairy Tail guild nodded. Galatea stood a little ways off from the group. She couldn't shake off the bad feeling she had.
Suddenly, Galatea caught a whiff of a familiar scent. Her head snapped to the sky, where a small purple dot had formed.
"What is that?" Makarov said.
The purple dot grew and grew until something began to come out of the portal. A smile grew on Galatea's face.
"Mom!"
The guilds were shocked, as a large dragon emerged from the portal. It had glistening obsidian-black scales that were sharply cut, and it was roughly twice the size of Cardia Cathedral. The end of it's tail was clubbed, with electric-purple spikes emitting from it. It also had matching electric-purple talons, and large, almond shaped violet eyes that glowed.
"My sweet Galatea, I'm am so glad you're safe." Andromeda said, her melodic voice booming across the city.
Galatea ran forward as Andromeda's head dipped down. Galatea hugged Andromeda's snout tightly, never being more thankful to see her mother. Several people gawked at the strange hug and the appearance of the dragon. The dragonslayers in the crowd paused, stilled by the appearance of a dragon from one of their kind.
"Are you here to save us?" Galatea asked, looking at her mother.
Andromeda looked confused.
"I don't know what you meant by that. I sensed that you were in danger so I came here."
