It wasn't going good.

Horatius was strong, stupidly so. Despite facing 30 mages and two Wizards Saints, he was handling his own and then some. Then again, many were being careful with their attacks since he was standing behind Galatea's unmoving form, and any attacks that weren't precision would hit her as well.

And none of them wanted to put her in any more danger or hurt than she was already in.

"Lightning Dragon Roar!" Laxus fired off.

Horatius swiped his hands in a circular motion and Laxus's attack was rapidly diminished until it was a small spurt of lightning.

He cackled, "You're going to have to try harder than that Sparky!"

"Shut the fuck up!" Laxus roared.

"Oh, have I touched a nerve?" Horatius giggled gleefully as he knocked back Lyon and Cherria with a wave a shadows.

Laxus barred his fangs.

"I'm going to kill you."

"If you can even touch me or land a hit on me." Hotarius teased.

Laxus growled in rage further, not even paying attention to the dragon roaring in his chest. He released a brutal wave of lightning, charring the ground and several trees. As it grazed the ground, it caused the blood in the canals to fizzle and begin boiling. Some of the blood even just explode and caused Laxus's lightning to appear red in some parts.

A little further aways, Freed panted, before looking to Lily who was nearby.

"Lily." Freed called out, causing the Exceed to look over at him.

"What is it Freed?" Lily asked, his eyes watching as Gajeel charged in for another attempt.

"I need to free Tea of her Enslavement Rune. If I can get close enough, I can dispel it. But I need a means to get closer. Could you give me those?" Freed asked.

"I could certainly try. You are sure Tea's not going to go berserk when the Enslavement comes off?" Lily asked cautiously.

"I don't think she'll go berserk, but she definitely won't be in the right state of mind. But anything is better than how she is right now. Plus, there is the chance that he orders her to fight against us." Freed said.

"True. True." Lily said. "We need the others to cause enough distraction though."

Freed nodded, and turned to Warren who was a little further behind.

"Tell as many people as possibly to overwhelm him with attacks to keep him distracted enough so Lily and I can sneak over and remove the Enslavement Rune on Tea." Freed ordered.

"Got it." Warren nodded, pressing two fingers to his temple. Freed's orders weren't repeated to himself or Lily, but he could faintly feel Warren's magic activate.

Freed gave Lily a nod, who quickly activated his Aira Magic and grabbed onto the back of Freed's jacket. They took flight, flying relatively low until they were covered by trees. Continuing to fly on the outskirts of the mountainous clearing, Lily stopped as they reached the trees behind Horatius and Tea, so the demented Time Mage had his back to them.

They watched as all of a sudden, the Guild Mages let off a barrage of attacks. Horatius seemed to falter for a moment, and a couple attacks actually managed to graze him. Freed gave Lily a nod, prepping a dispelling spell.

Lily entered Max Speed, and they shot across the field. They slowed down for half a second as Freed placed his growing purple hand onto the Enslavement Rune. He tensed at the feeling of the Forbidden Magic, before Lily took off with him back toward the crowd.

Horatius saw them rocket past, pausing a little in confusion as they made no move to attack him. Then, he heard the sound of something shattering, and looked down to see Galatea, wide-eyed and tears welling.

The rune was gone.

Galatea let out a horrified scream and desperately tried to flap her singular wing to take off, but the one wasn't enough to life her up. Pushing herself up onto her elbows, she began rapidly dragging herself away from Horatius. Her mind was hell, trying to comprehend anything that was going on at the moment.

Need. To. Get. Away.

Tears continued to trail down her face as she tried to push herself up further but failed, her legs too weak at the moment to be used. She had lost blood, and a lot of it. Her vision was spotty and she felt as if she was a mere moment away from collapsing for a long time.

I have to get out of here, I need to. I need- I need- I need Laxus. I need Ever. I need Bickslow. I need Freed. I need my family. I need them.

"You!" Horatius snarled, whipping around to face Galatea. He raised his hands, and a wave of shadows were released, heading straight for Galatea.

No! No! No! NO! NO!

Not even being able to stand currently, she had no way to dodge the incoming wave. Her scream echoed out over the fields as she was swept up in the wave. As the wave passed, Galatea lay pressed against ground, even more beat. Horatius walked over quickly, clamping a firm hand on the back of her neck. Roughly pulling limp body up, he sneered as blade of shadow formed in his other hand.

"You'll learn to pay for that, my dear." Horatius hissed, raising the blade.

It all seemed to happen in slow motion. The Guild Mages watched in slow horror, as the blade was raised to Galatea's eyes. Her eyes were already clamped shut in exhaustion and pain. It was slow and deliberate, as Horatius drew his blade across horizontally across her eyes.

Blood spurted a screen as the blade left her face. A strangled cry came from Galatea's mouth, dampened to an extent by the harsh grip on the back of her throat. Horatius laughed further, as his blade dissipated into nothingness.

His hand lowered to just above her knee. Placing his hand upon her skin, he whispered a threat into her ear before his hand glowed green. Mages instantly backed away at the magic pressure emanating off of Galatea. It was suffocating, even worse than her display of Dragon Force at the Grand Magic Games.

Laxus's heart dropped as he saw the final rune revert back to blood and drip down her leg. He moved to call out a warning, but it was too late.

Less than a second later, the air ruptured before a massive blast of dark purple and black swirling magic, this time in a dome instead of a pillar. Mages dropped to the ground in effort to get cover, the magic rippled past them causing them to choke on the pressure and pure power radiating off the blast.

Laxus found his voice for a moment, and he yelled out in desperation.

"TEA!"
