"There you are. What took you so long?"
Galatea sighed, plopping down at the table between Mira and Laxus.
"Sorry, I got held up on my way over." Galatea apologized to the group. "I ran into an old friend and someone else I didn't want to be around."
"That's alright. We just ordered some appetizers for the table." Makarov said. "Is Mystogan not joining us?"
Galatea shook her head.
"He's with some old friends. I left them at the room." Galatea explained. "And all of our rooms are good."
"What's the room situation?" Freed asked.
"Well, Master booked three rooms. There's a single, a four bed, and a five bed room. We put Master's bag in the single, Team B's bags in the five, and Cana and the Thunder Legion in the four person. Is that good with everyone?"
"Sounds good to me." Mira said.
"Where's Cana?" Galatea asked, curious as to why Fairy Tail's resident drinker was missing from the table.
"She's hitting up the bars." Laxus said.
Galatea nodded, picking up the menu in front of her.
"Who's the old friend?" Mira asked.
"Eve." Galatea answered without thinking.
Evergreen smirked and leaned forward from her spot across from the female dragonslayer.
"So your ex-boyfriend from Blue Pegasus is Eve of the Tri-Men?" Evergreen teased, "I never pegged you to be the kind to go for the innocent type"
Galatea sighed.
"Ever, kindly stop before I break your knee."
"Fine." Evergreen said, full well knowing Galatea would carry through with her threat. "But will you tell me who the other person you ran into is?"
"You'll meet them tomorrow most likely." Galatea said, eyes going back to pooling over the menu. "But he's a flirty asshole who has his head up his ass."
"Wow, that's some strong words." Bickslow said, "He from Sabertooth?"
Galatea nodded, "How'd you know."
"Well anytime you describe someone as anything along the lines of a cocky asshole there's a good chance they're from Sabertooth." Bickslow said.
The waitress came soon, dispersing plates of appetizers across the table.
"So, what can I get for you guys?"
Galatea hummed slightly as she polished the hilts of her intricate daggers. The team had returned to the hotel, and were relaxing in the room. She had decided to take the time to sharpen and polish her weapons. Pantherlily had decided to join her, and they were sitting on her bed in mostly silence, caring for their blades.
"I didn't know you used daggers Tea." Mira said, from the dresser where she was organizing her clothing.
"I always like to be prepared in the case that I can't use my magic. I don't want to be completely reliant on it." Galatea said, "Besides, they are really pretty."
"The beauty of a blade is something that can't be compared to anything else." Pantherlily agreed.
The room went mostly silent again, until Jellal returned from the balcony, where he had been resting.
"Is it just me, or is the whole midnight rule a little strange?" He asked, pulling down his mask.
"Yeah." Galatea said, "They didn't have that last year or any of the previous years."
