Galatea was practically bouncing with joy upon gaining her S-Class promotion. She had been awaiting the chance to go on a S-Class mission since her promotion, but Makarov had made her take a week off to rest after tacking the Hydra. His choice didn't make her upset or mad, as she figured Laxus had said something about her Elite Mage Trial to Makarov.

But finally, after a week of relaxation and no jobs, Makarov finally gave her clearance. So, she and Freed were standing over the S-Class board, deciding on a mission. There were four on the board, and she and Freed had narrowed it down to two. She had asked the rune mage to come along on her job, as she had been wanting to take a job with her friend.

She spent a lot of time with Evergreen as the only girls of the group, and another great deal of her time with Laxus for obvious reasons. She and Bickslow had done a few missions together and were getting along quite well. But Freed? Despite arguably being the two bookworms of the group, they hadn't spent much time together alone. And Galatea wanted to change that.

"Hmm, what about this one?" Freed said, pointing to a job on aged paper.

Galatea's blue eyes flickered over to the paper he was pointing at. She quite liked the appeal of the job, and gave Freed an approving nod.

"I like the sound of that. Good choice." Galatea nodded, picking the job off the board. "You all set to go?"

"I have a bag at the table prepared. I assume you are ready too?" Freed asked.

"Almost. Based on the task at hand, I want to grab some supplies from home." Galatea said, "Then we can head over to the client, and figure out our way from there."

"Sounds good. Why don't you go sign that out with Mira, I'll get my stuff and then we can go." Freed said, before making down the stairs.

Galatea dismissed the need for stairs, implementing her Phasing Magic to drop straight through the floor and land behind the bar, scaring the shit out of Kinana and Mira. Both woman jumped, not expecting Galatea to appear out of nowhere.

"Tea!" Kinana gasped, clutching her chest.

"Hey Mira, can I take this job?" Galatea said, holding up the job flyer.

"Of course, just maybe don't drop through the roof unannounced next time." Mira smiled, pulling out the binder containing logs of job requests.

Galatea stood around as Mira filled out the necessary information into her logs before passing the flyer back to Galatea.

"Good luck." Mira smiled.

"Thanks." Galatea smiled, giving her a wave as she fazed through the bar and walked over to the Thunder Legion's table.

There she found an exasperated Freed with his bag slung over his shoulder, dealing with a complaining Evergreen and Bickslow and a mildly interested Laxus.

"Ready to go?" Galatea asked Freed.

"Yeah, we-"

"What job are we doing?" Bickslow cut in, his eyes falling on the paper in Galatea's hands. "It's S-Class so its bound to be interesting."

Galatea paused, blinking. "You are aware that Freed and I are taking the job since we pre-planned it."

"Nah, we just figured that you two were picking the job." Bickslow said, "Well, where are we going?"

Oh for the love of all of stars in the galaxy...

Freed pinched the bridge of his nose, looking at Galatea for a moment. She gave a dejected shrug, and let out a long sigh.
