Galatea was very suspicious of Gildarts' return. From what she knew of Gildarts' character, he was not one to come back to the Guild this frequently. Not even his explanation of wanting to congratulate the Guild on becoming Number One, just like he willed, eased Galatea's suspicions. She had voiced her concerns to Laxus on their way back from dinner with the Thunder Legion, Nari, and Amber, as she spent the night at Laxus's apartment. He commented that it was strange that Gildarts was coming back, but hadn't spoken further.
But it had gotten more concerning, when Laxus and Galatea had arrived at the Guild Hall late afternoon. They quickly found the Thunder Legion at their normal table, who were quick to tease (with exception of Freed) the two about they could possibly been doing when they went off on their own. Laxus brushed it off and Galatea simply just took a nap, leading Bickslow and Evergreen to stop teasing the couple due to a lack of interest.
Only when Galatea woke from her nap to find Laxus gone did she finally speak up.
"Hey, where did Laxus go?" Galatea questioned, her voice slightly lower from just having awoken.
"Master called him and all of the other S-Class wizards." Freed explained, "It is strange, since that isn't common."
"It's not?" Galatea questioned, even more confused.
Back in her days of being an Elite Mage, it was common for the three Elite Mages to have meetings. Most were impromptu, but once a month the three Elite Mages and Master Yoo met up to discuss a variety topics mostly pertaining the Guild's strength and well-being.
"Yeah, the only times I can ever remember the S-Class Wizards being gathered as a whole is S-Class Trial season, specifically the announcement of the participants and later the naming of the newest S-Class Wizard." Bickslow said, "Which makes this really weird to be honest..."
"Weird~! Weird~!"
"Hmm, that is weird. Did Laxus say something before he got called away at all?" Galatea asked.
"Nope. Just grumbled a bit, per usual." Evergreen said, fanning herself. "I'm bored..."
"Do you wanna go shopping some time since all of your debts are cleared?" Galatea asked, twirling a piece of her hair. "I'm in need of some more daggers anyways."
"Clothes shopping or weapons shopping?" Evergreen asked, a little more intrigued.
"You pick the right area, we can cover all fields." Galatea shrugged, her attention snapping when she heard the Master's office door. "Looks like the meeting might be done."
Her ears focused slightly on the discussion Erza and Mira were holding, a little confused.
"Do you want to go down and ask Tea? Or should I?" Mira asked.
"You probably should, we don't want to draw too much attention to her." Erza said.
Curious, Galatea got up from her chair.
"I'll be right back guys, Mira needs me." Galatea said, before quickly dropping into a portal.
The Thunder Legion blinked in surprise, and shared a few looks.
That was weird...
Galatea dropped out of a portal from the ceiling, landing directly in front of Mira and Erza. Her sudden appearance made both woman jump, not expecting her to pop in so suddenly.
"Hey, you guys needed me for something discrete?" Galatea asked, "Sorry, I kinda tuned into your conversation when you guys left Master's office."
"Oh. Well, it can actually be solved here. Master Makarov wants to speak with you." Mira said, pointing to the open door where Laxus and Gildarts were exiting.
