Episode # 68:- (Her trust is everything to him.)
"Any progress?" Sanskar asked. They all were present in the basement room of the Agnihotri Mansion after the engagement ceremony. Ankush shook his head and took a deep breath. "We have rechecked everyone on whom we had a doubt, but no," Ankush said.
"Sanskar, is there anyone which we are missing?" Reyansh asked, and Sanskar went into the deep thoughts. He tried to remember who could be the person but failed. "No Reyansh, I seriously don't remember other than the list which Ankush and Kaavish showed me," Sanskar replied.
"Bhai, we can't sit like this. We haven't told our parents, and I'm afraid that what if dad came to know about this thing? I didn't forget those days when you were away from us. He used to say to Mom that everything would be fine. But whenever he was alone, I saw him crying like a child. He used to hide in his study so that mom would never come to know, but I know...," Arush said.
The shock was an understatement for Sanskar after hearing this. "You never told me this thing, Arush," Sanskar asked, and Arush wiped the lone tear that escaped from his eye. "Till today you are regretting, I didn't want to overburden your guilt," Arush said in a low tone.
"Promise me Aru that you'll say nothing to Dad. I don't know what's written in my fate, I'll be alive or not, but you have to promise me, that you'll never let them down," Sanskar said while keeping his hand in front of Arush. Reyansh, Yuvaan, Kaavish, and Ankush were the silent spectators.
Arush gulped the lump that formed in his throat. He raised his shivery hand and was going to keep his hand on Sanskar's but stopped after seeing someone. "Dad...," Arush said, and Sanskar turned around with a jerk. All went numb in their spots after seeing Ronit standing there. Beside him were standing Arnav and Advik.
"Dad, I...," Sanskar tried to say something. However, before he could be able to complete his sentence, all heard a loud sound of a slap. Sanskar in shock kept a hand on his cheek; all the others were also shocked after seeing Ronit slapping Sanskar.
"Who gave you the damn right to hide this truth from me, Sanskar Ronit Agnihotri?" Ronit screamed in anger, and Sanskar hung his head in shame. "Were those ten years not enough for you that now you are trying to give us this pain for our entire life?" Ronit snarled in anger.
Advik came forward and kept a hand on Ronit's shoulder.
"Relax, Ronit," Arnav said, but Ronit shook his head. "How can I relax, Arnav, when my not-so-intelligent son thinks that we'll be able to live without him?" Ronit said and raised his hand again to slap Sanskar, but stopped.
"You have got no beatings from me Sanskar, that's the reason you think that whatever you do we'll never tell or say you anything. Have you ever thought what would be our condition if something happened to you?" Ronit said while keeping his finger on Sanskar's chest.
"Ask a father how it feels when his child gets a slight scratch. Rooh kaamp jati hay uski (his soul shook to the core)," Ronit said with angry tears flowing down from his eyes. Today he was feeling damn angry, because whatever he tries but Sanskar will never change.
"I'm sorry, Dad," Sanskar said while hugging Ronit tightly. Ronit tried to break his hug, but Sanskar tightened his arms around him. Finally, Ronit sighed in defeat and wrapped his arms around Sanskar.
"For every father, his 1st child is their pride. I love you both equally, but Sanskar you are that part of my body which is the sole reason why I'm alive till now," Ronit said and kissed his head tightly.
Everyone got tears in their eyes after hearing Ronit. Sanskar broke the hug and wiped his father's tears. "I'm sorry for the nonsense I said before," Sanskar said, and Ronit caressed his cheek where he slapped.
