Episode # 19: (Her Brother's Love)
Swara stirred in her sleep and opened her eyes when she felt her bear missing. She rubbed her eyes and saw Sanskar was standing in front of her with a raised eyebrow.
"Hello," she said and turned around. Sanskar chuckled after seeing this and bend towards her. "You wanted to roam around Mumbai city, but here you are sleeping," Sanskar said while caressing her hair.
Swara said nothing and grabbed his hand in her hair. "You also sleep with me," and by saying that she pulled him a little. Sanskar stumbled a little and fell behind her.
He shook his head in disbelief and took a deep breath. She again slipped into a deep slumber. Sanskar, after seeing her realized that from the last few days, they were not getting proper sleep.
Daily they used to sleep late and wake up early, he looked at the wall clock, and it was showing 4:20 PM. He thought for a while and slipped beside her under the cover.
The moment his head hits the pillow, tiredness hits him hard. And within a few minutes, he was fast asleep with his arm wrapped around her waist.
Swara's sleep broke with the continuous ringing of her cellphone. She opened her eyes and picked the cellphone lying beside her.
She saw that it was Arush who was calling her. "Yes, Arush Bhai?" Swara said, and Arush who thought she must be roaming around the entire city frowned after hearing her sleepy voice.
"Were you sleeping?" Arush asked, and Swara realized that she slept in Sanskar's office room. She tried to get up but felt a grip around her waist. She tilts her head and found Sanskar was peacefully sleeping beside her. "Hello," she heard Arush's voice again.
"Yeah, Bhai, Sanskar had an important meeting, so when I got tired after roaming around the office, I came back to his room and slept. I think from the last few days we all had a hectic routine that is why I didn't realize the time," Swara said.
"Where is Bhai?" Arush asked, and Swara told that he is sleeping. "It's already 7 PM, I think you should wake him," Arush said and Swara while nodding her head said, "We will be back soon," and by saying this Swara bids him bye.
Swara kept her cellphone aside and turned around in Sanskar embrace. "He will never admit that he is tired and look now even on Arush Bhai call he is asleep," Swara said while eying his face.
"Sanskar," she poked his cheek, but no answer. She poked his cheeks 3, 4 times and finally, Sanskar stirred in his sleep.
"Wake up," Swara said and poked his cheek again, and Sanskar held her finger. He gave her a sleepy smile and opened his eyes.
"Why you don't take a proper sleep?" Swara asked, and Sanskar said nothing, just kissed her forehead. Swara sighs because she knew that she would never get the answer to this question.
"Shall we go home?" Swara asked. "Don't you want to roam around?" Sanskar asked, and Swara saw the time which was showing 7:20 PM.
"It's already above 7, and you are tired, we can see the city tomorrow," Swara said, and Sanskar thought for a while.
"We can visit Marine Drive, and you know there you'll find the best Vada pav," Sanskar said, and Swara frowned on hearing this.
"You eat street foods?" Swara asked, and Sanskar gave her a confused look. "Why? Are we not allowed to eat these types of foods?" Sanskar asked.
"I thought like me, you also never eaten such foods," Swara said and snuggled more in his embrace. Sanskar caressed her hair and asked, "Me, Arush and Yuvaan monthly twice or thrice visits all the street stalls and taste their foods."
