Episode # 47:- (Shopping day or a shock day?)
Sanskar's sleep broke when he heard the ringtone of his cell phone. He opened his one eye and grabbed the cell phone from the side table. He rubbed his eyes to clear his vision and found that the caller was Reyansh.
He saw the time, and it was showing 4 in the morning. "Hey Reyansh, everything is fine?" Sanskar asked while eyeing Swara, who was sleeping peacefully in his embrace.
"Sorry to disturb you, but I got a call from our lawyer," Reyansh said. "What he said?" Sanskar asked. "In the morning we had our first hearing of Rajiv's case, but our lawyer said that Lawyers went on strike because last night one Judge of a High Court had been murdered in his house. So, now the date of our case has been postponed," Reyansh said.
"When is the next date?" Sanskar asked. "Lawyer will tell, but he said that we don't have to take any tension because Rajiv had a non-releasable bail," Reyansh said.
"Okay, that's a relief," Sanskar replied. Reyansh agreed and disconnected the call. "The saying is right, that justice takes time," Sanskar mumbled and took a deep breath. He turned around and slept again while taking Swara in his arms.
Morning:-
"Sanskar, today I'll go shopping with Bhabi," Swara said to him, who was as usual busy settling his hair. "Sure, but you hate shopping then why so suddenly?" Sanskar asked with a raised eyebrow.
Swara gave him a sheepish smile and said, "I want to buy shirts for you, yesterday I saw an ad for the new arrival of men's wear in the mall so...," Sanskar chuckled after hearing this and came near her. He encircled his arms around her waist and pecked her lips.
"You thought about buying something for me, that's enough. I know you hate shopping so no need to do that work which you dislike," Sanskar said and kissed her forehead. "What's the harm in trying?" Swara said with a cheeky grin and Sanskar agreed.
"Now come, let's go downstairs. All must be, waiting for us on the breakfast table," Sanskar said and with Swara went downstairs. He had already informed her about the postponing of the hearing.
They came downstairs, and Swara who was going to say something stopped when she heard a voice. She eyed Sanskar, who was already looking towards her with confusion. They came towards the dining area.
The thing that got their attention was two more people other than Sanskar's family. They were sitting while facing their backs towards them.
"Mom, Dad?" Swara called in a doubtful tone and was surprised when those two people turned their faces towards them. Her eyes filled with happy tears when one person among the 2 got up from his place.
"Mom," Swara cried in happiness and ran towards the person who was none other than her mother, Niharika. "You can walk?" Swara said while hugging her mother tightly and crying incoherently.
"I can't believe this," Swara broke the hug and looked towards her mother from head to toe. Niharika chuckled after seeing her excitement and cupped her face. "Yes Swara, I'm fine, and can walk with no pain or struggle," Niharika said and kissed her forehead.
It relieved Niharika after seeing Swara. She knew that what she faced was more than her capacity. However, after seeing her smiling face, she felt a burden lifting from her heart.
Swara hugged Niharika again to make sure that her mother is standing in front of her fit and fine. Sanskar came towards them with a smile on his face. "You have given us the best surprise, mom," Sanskar said to Niharika.
Niharika broke the hug and caressed Sanskar's cheek. "My daughter has forgotten that I'm also here," Swara heard Arnav's voice and bit her tongue. "Sorry dad, I'm so happy that you both are back," Swara said while giving a tight hug to Arnav.
