The following day, Sydney found himself walking through the halls of Buckingham Palace. Normally, if he wasn't guarding the Princess of Wales on her outings, he could rest. However, with the arrival of Prince Juan Fernando of Spain, he was in charge of helping his guards since Sydney was the only guard who could speak both English and Spanish. As he passed the entrance, he overheard an angry discussion behind Wilson and Francis.

Sydney got closer to find Wilson speaking sternly to Francis.

"I don't know where Her Highness is, sir!" Francis protested.

"Well then, why are Their Majesties still employing you?" Wilson demanded.

"I promise you, sir, I looked for Her Highness, and the guards do not believe she left the Palace."

"I should have sacked you years ago."

"Good morning, Mr Wilson," Sydney nodded, approaching the servants. "Francis."

Sydney knew how hard Francis worked and found it unfair that the Royal Butler was so harsh on him.

"Do you know where Her Highness is?" Wilson inquired.

"I am not on Her Highness' watch right now," Sydney informed. "Although, I expect that she is either in her room or sitting room."

"Well, apparently, this incompetent fool already looked everywhere."

"I can find Allen. I am sure he knows where the princess is as he has access to her schedule."

"Fine. At least someone at the Palace has a brain."

"Why are you looking for Her Highness?"

"There is a woman outside claiming to be her mother. She refuses to leave, and none of the guards listened to me when I asked to have her removed from the premises."

Sydney tried to keep a neutral face, knowing that the Royal Guards were not supposed to make a scene or use their position to intimidate the servants. Although, he (and the others) despised how rude Wilson was to everyone. So for fun, they disregarded everything that Wilson told them to do. In fairness, the guards did not have to listen to the butler, but they made it their mission to refuse to follow his orders.

"I can't get a hold of any responsible guards," Wilson continued. "So a few of the Spanish ones are watching her, but they are even more useless than the others."

Sydney ignored Wilson and turned to Francis, "Please go try to find Her Highness, or if not, Mr Carlos."

"Okay," Francis nodded and rushed off, eager to be away from the butler.

"Now you give the orders?" Wilson demanded.

"I could always give orders, but I choose not to," Sydney shrugged. "Anyway, I am going to speak with the guards."
