"Explain this. Now," David ordered, storming into his sister's room.

"Explain what?" Darrel sighed as she sat up.

"Don't pretend you do not know what I'm talking about."

"David, I just woke up, and on Sir Simon's orders, I have not left my room for a week. What happened?"

The Duke of York tossed a newspaper on the bed and then sunk into an armchair. Darrel eyed him suspiciously, but began to read the article on the front page:

Princess Puppet of Wales- William Turner

As mentioned in a previous article, the Crawleys and Their Majesties' are unable to stand each other. After an interview with Lord Grantham, it is clear how much hatred lies between them.

The Princess of Wales grew up at Downton Abbey, and Lord Grantham treated her exactly like his other daughters. From my interview, it is evident how much Grantham still cares for the princess. However, once Lady Darrel Crawley became the heiress, Their Majesties took control of her life and turned her into their puppet. The King and Queen ordered her to cut off contact with the Crawleys, and when the princess disobeyed, they locked her in her room.

During the interview, I witnessed how much the situation upsets Lord Grantham, as tears formed in his eyes. After raising our future Queen of England for fourteen years, and hiding Their Majesties' secret, he received no credit. Does that not seem unfair to Grantham? The country owes him, and Their Majesties' did not treat him accordingly.

Moreover, it does not seem fair that Thir Majesties keep their daughter away from the Crawleys. While they may not be her biological family, they will always hold a dear place in the princess' heart. Their Majesties expect the heir apparent to be Princess Puppet of Wales. Supposedly personality is not an important quality for the Queen of England.

Darrel lowered the paper and let out an exasperated sigh. David studied the princess' face.

"You did not know about the article," David assumed.

"I had no idea," Darrel assured.

"I cannot believe he would dare to speak to Turner."

"It is possible that he had no choice."

"He had a choice. Everyone has a choice. Only lowlives like Chadwick speak to reporters."

"Do not speak about him that way!"

"He spoke to the press!"

"And he is my father."
