An hour later, Darrel stood in the driveway, overlooking the footmen as they placed her cases in the cars. She spotted Francis standing by one of the automobiles and approached him.

"Your Highness," Francis bowed.

"I need you to do me a favour," Darrel informed.

"Of course, ma'am."

"While I'm at Downton, can you look after Mr Carlos?"

"I'm not sure I understand, ma'am."

"I know that it is not part of your duties. But you seem to be the only staff member who can put up with him. So when his valet runs away from his room, will you take care of him?"

Francis nodded, "Of course, ma'am."

"Thank you, Francis."

"Your Highness."

Darrel smiled and walked over to the Royal Bodyguards. Francis continued to put the cases into the trunk. He did not know how to feel at that moment. Part of him felt honoured that the Princess of Wales trusted him. At the same time, he felt irritated because Sebastian was insufferable when drunk. On top of that, he was curious about why Sebastian was not going to Downton and why he kept wandering off at night.

"All right, we're almost ready to leave," Darrel announced. "Where's Benjamin?"

"He forgot something in his room," Sidney informed. "He should be back soon."

"I hope so. We have to leave," Allen replied.

"We can always go without him," Darrel suggested.

Allen attempted to hide his smile, but it did not work. Especially because Sidney began to laugh.

The door opened and Benjamin came up to them.

"There you are!" Darrel exclaimed. "Let's go."

"Their Majesties want to speak to you in the drawing room," he informed.

"We have to go."

"They said that they do not care. They need to speak to you."

Darrel let out a heavy sigh but walked back into the Palace.

The princess entered the drawing room to find King George V, Queen Mary of Teck and David waiting for her.

"You wanted to see me, Your Majesties?" Darrel curtsied.

"Yes, why isn't Sebastian going to Downton with you?" Mary of Teck demanded.

"He does not want to come, and I will not force him."

"You are his fiancée, it makes sense that he goes with you."
