The Princess of Wales, Her Royal Highness, Elizabeth Darrel Crawley, is heartbroken. Months ago, her fiancé, Sebastian Carlos ended their engagement so that he can return to Spain once his cousin becomes king. Once he ended their engagement, Darrel declares that she will never love another man. However, as she is the future Queen of England, she is expected to produce an heir.
So when Lord Tobias Dankworth declares that he will court Darrel but shall never fall in love with her, it seems too good to be true. Will their courtship work? Or will someone walk away?

The former Prince of Spain, Sebastian Carlos, is stuck in England. Until then, he is a man with no title, living with his former enemy, Paul Ringer, and reading about Darrel's new relationship in the papers. As it becomes clear that Darrel's moving on, Sebastian can't help but wonder why he ever left Spain in the first place.
