After changing out of his clothes from the Duke of Dulverton's party, and washing the blood off his face, Sebastian headed to Darrel's room to see how she was doing. When he arrived, he saw that Sir Simon was still with the princess, and decided to wait outside in the hallway.

"Your Highness, can you hear me?" The physician inquired.

"Yes," Darrel muttered.

"I am going to apply something to clean the wound, which may sting a little. But luckily, it stopped bleeding, and there won't be any permanent damage. The bruising I am afraid will just have to go away on its own."

Darrel nodded slightly, but was still not fully aware of her surroundings, or entirely sure of what happened that evening. Everything became a blur after her fall into the dining room table where she smashed her head against an abandoned glass of whiskey. Sir Simon applied some iodine to Darrel's injury and then proceeded to wipe away the blood that had trickled down the side of her face. Once he finished, Sebastian stepped into the room.

"Good evening, Mr Carlos," Sir Simon greeted.

"Sir Simon," Sebastian nodded. "Will she be all right?"

"I believe so, sir. If Her Highness stays in bed for at least a week, she should be fine."

"All right, thank you."

"Your Highness, I will be back later this evening to ensure everything is all right. You can send a footman or guard if you need me."

"Thank you, Sir Simon," Darrel muttered.

"Good evening, Your Highness, Mr Carlos."

Sir Simon bowed, then backed out of the room. Sebastian approached the princess' bed and sat down.

"How are you feeling?" Sebastian inquired.

"Go away," Darrel groaned.

"Of course, you need to rest..."

"I do not want to see you right now."

"My darling..."

"Why would you do that? Why would you fight the Duke of Dulverton?"

"Darrel, this is not the time to discuss what happened tonight; you need rest."

Darrel tried to sit up in bed, but winced due to the pain and lay back down. Sebastian tried to help her, but she waved her fiancé away.

"How could you be so stupid?" Darrel demanded. "You fought the duke, which was bad enough; you know that it is stupid to fight others. Second of all, why would you fight someone in front of people that we do not know? Why would you do something like this? If this ends up in the papers..."
