The following day, Perseus Chadwick sat in his library, with a novel in hand. He entered the library hoping to get some reading done, however, he spent more time thinking about his dilemma. He did not regret telling the Princess of Wales the truth. However, he was unsure if it was for the best. While Perseus appreciated her offering to help him, he did not want her to get in trouble with Their Majesties. He also worried that if her parents found out that she tried to help Perseus, his secret would appear in the papers the next day. However, he knew that there was no way that Darrel would leave Sebastian for him, so he had nothing to lose. He just hoped his sister would forgive him when her parentage appeared in the papers.

Chadwick did not bother to look up when he heard the door to the library, "I told you that I did not want to be disturbed today."

"I am sorry to bother you, Your Grace," came his butler's voice. "But there is someone here to see you."

"Tell them to make an appointment for another day."

"Normally, I would respect your wishes, sir. However, this is not a normal situation, sir."

"I do not have time to guess what you are trying to say to me. Either tell me why this is so important or send the intruder on their way."

"Your guest is in the drawing room, sir."

"You let someone in without consulting me first?" Chadwick exclaimed, getting to his face and turning to glare at his butler. "Do you not understand what your duties are?"

"I understand my duties quite clearly, sir," the butler assured. "But I am not in the position to send your guest away."

"People are not guests if they showed up uninvited! Send whoever they are away at once."

"I would prefer if you were the one to deliver the message, sir."

Chadwick let out an aggravated groan, "You are my butler! It is your responsibility to deal with guests on my estate and to send away the unwelcome ones."

"I know, sir," the butler replied. "However...I worry that if...I worry that it might be considered treasonous."

"Treasonous? What on Earth are you talking about?"

When the butler did not respond, Chadwick rolled his eyes, pushed past his servant and marched off towards the drawing room.

The Duke of Dulverton stormed into the drawing room, ready to start lecturing his unwelcome guest about proper procedures. However, he was taken aback as he entered and realized that the person waiting was none other than the Princess of Wales. Darrel stood by the glass doors leading out to the estate's gardens but turned as the duke entered.
