The morning came rather quickly for Pine-Tree. It felt like only seconds between when he fell asleep and when he woke up.

At first, he didn't want to leave his bed. The comfort and warmth that his blanket and pillows gave, made him not want to get up. But before he knew it a blinding light drowned his eyes.

"Wake up, Pine-Tree!" The sound of Bill's voice rang through his ears as the glowing triangle floated next to him.

The boy groaned and covered his head with his blanket. "Five more minutes..."

Bill rolled his eye. "Time is an illusion, Pine-Tree. Get up." He demanded. Pine-Tree rolled onto his stomach and covered his ears.

Bill was getting annoyed. "Fine. Be stubborn. I'll make you get up." The boy was confused until the demon snapped his fingers and a bucket of freezing water was poured over the kid making him scream and start crying.

"I told you to get up, kid. You decided not to. That is completely on you! Sit up."

Still crying and overall quite irritated, Pine-Tree rolled onto his back and sat up. Wiping the tears and water off his face.

"Good! Now then, I see Ensley has already put out an outfit for you." Bill said, picking up the clothes that were laid out on the end of the bed.

The boy perked up at the sound of his new friend's name. "Where is Ensley?" He asked eagerly. The demon was not happy to hear how excited he was. "WHO CARES- about her... I have something planned for you today. You're going to meet one of my good friends. Go get yourself ready. There's a towel in your closet. Hurry up." Bill instructed before leaving the room.

The boy glared at him as he left. That demon burned his ankle, yelled at him, and poured water on him. He didn't want anything to do with Bill. Even if he knew him before and enjoyed his company. He didn't now.

Pine-Tree looked around his room for his closet. He hasn't had the chance to look around his room yet. It was a rather large room. His large blue bed in the middle of the back wall. Beside it, shelves with books, toys, and gadgets he didn't even recognize. In front, a desk with more books and notebooks. In the middle of the desk sat a white journal with a golden Pine-Tree on the front and a 1 in the middle. The boy looked through the pages only to see blank pieces of paper.

Why is it blank if I've been here for years? He asked himself. Before dismissing the question.

He walked towards the last thing, his wardrobe. He opened it and saw a white towel to dry himself up with. The five year old was very annoyed and angry. This was not how he wanted his morning to go.

Stan paced back and forth in his room. Dipper has been missing for 4 days already. His five year old great nephew was missing! He's only had the twins for about 4 years and he already lost one! How bad of a parent could he possibly be?!

All of these thoughts raced through his mind. The tears falling from his eyes yet again. The pain and guilt he felt was almost too much. It would have taken over him if it weren't for Mabel.

He knew he had to stay strong for her. Her sibling was missing. Even if she didn't know. Stan had told her that he was just on a trip and would come back soon. He just couldn't bring himself to tell her the truth that her twin might never return again.

In fact, he couldn't bring himself to tell himself the truth...

He had failed as a parent.

Meanwhile, back in the Nightmare Realm, Pine-Tree had gotten his clothes on. A white dress shirt with an unbuttoned golden vest, black bow-tie, black dress pants and dress shoes and of course, his Pine-Tree pin to pull it all together. He felt very attached to that pin, for reasons he didn't know.

While walking through the halls of the mansion he felt very uneasy. As if he wasn't supposed to be there. Every servant he walked by, just glanced at him and kept walking. None of them said anything so of course he wasn't doing anything wrong. It just felt like he was.

After getting lost a few times he finally found his way to his favorite room. The library. When he walked in there were 3 people. A servant searching through books but also Ensley who was sitting in a chair reading and Divinity who was dusting and cleaning everything.

His face brightened up. "Hi!" He exclaimed, walking into the room. The two looked his way and frowned before going back to what they were doing.

Pine-Tree's energy lessened when he saw this. "What's wrong?"

No response.

"Did I do something wrong?" He asked, sadness appearing in his voice. No response. The boy's chest hurt and a knot grew in the back of his throat. He stood there for a few minutes, the pain visible and obvious on his face.

He did do something wrong, didn't he? He walked up and sat next to Ensley, holding her arm. "What did I do?" He asked, on the verge of tears. "Please tell me! Please!"

The girl felt a wet drop on her arm. Pine-Tree was crying. It broke her soul.

The boy got up and went to Divinity next. He couldn't even say a word before she simply walked away from him.

He stood in the center of the room once more. He was being ignored. The boy silently cried to himself.

"Pine-Tree! There you are!" He turned around to see Bill standing behind him. "I've been looking for you! Come." He said, picking the boy up and carrying him away.

Pine-Tree looked back at the girls one more time. Disappointed in himself for pushing them away, he didn't even know how he did. His head hanging low and the sounds of his sniffles heard every few seconds.

"What are you crying about now?" Bill asked, annoyed. The boy just started squirming and somehow was able to get out of the demon's arms and fall to the floor below, while Bill just looked at him in confusion.

"Why - Why did they... ignore me?" The child asked, wiping his eyes.

Bill scoffed at the question. He was about to say he didn't know but another brilliant idea popped into his head. If he were human he'd have an evil smirk on his face.

"They ignored you because you broke a rule, my dear Pine-Tree."

The boy's eyes widened and his eyebrows arched outward. "I-I did...?" He whispered. Bill floated in a circle around him. "Yes. You see, I'm in charge here, kid. Yesterday you were fighting me when I tried to take you away from them."

The boy looked down. "H-How do I make them talk to me again?" He asked.

"Oh they probably hate you right now."

Pine-Tree looked shocked and saddened when Bill said the word 'hate'.

"But don't worry. Just don't fight me anymore and they'll talk to you again. It will take time though. But whatever, now that that's out of the way. Come now. We don't want to keep our guest waiting, do we?"

Pine-Tree shook his head and took Bill's hand, continuing down the hallway.
