Ford spent the next hour or so asking the child questions - his suspicions were proven correct. The boy's memory had been erased. He continued asking more questions all while hiding the boy's true past - which was difficult. Ford knew he had to carefully word his questions so as to not give any hints about the kid's real family.
Meanwhile, Pine-Tree (Mason) explained his story, though he was careful of what he shared and how he worded his answers. A single screw-up and he might spill something bad to the human listening to and questioning him. If he slipped up Bill would certainly make sure he'd regret it.
Of course Bill was already going to punish him for even speaking to this man, but there was something about him that seemed friendly and approachable... he didn't know why this human made him feel as if he could trust him but he did.
But then the realization hit- Bill said they're very manipulative and will do anything to get him to trust them, then they will hurt him.
When he remembered this, Pine-Tree quickly finished what he was in the middle of saying before putting his guard wall back up and closing his doors again.

Ford noticed, but didn't say anything. He was already shocked and disturbed by how the boy was treated by Bill. To his utter shock and surprise, he was treated relatively well with support and encouragement. But also sort of abused mentally and emotionally. Though- you would have never guessed and Ford doubted the kid even realized what Bill was really doing to him.
He doubted his nephew even knew or understood that Bill was filling his head with lies and the fact he was being prepared for something - for what though was the question.
Bill is a heartless monster who would kill, manipulate, possess, and trick anyone in order to get what he wants. Ford was no stranger to that fact. But- he never expected Bill to kidnap a human child and... raise them?? There had to have been something else going on with this. There was no possible way Bill Cipher- an interdimensionally feared and powerful dream demon- could kidnap a mortal child just because why not.
Even if he did, it's too big of a coincidence that he chose the child of one of his enemies. There has to be more.
Bill Cipher couldn't feel love and care for someone. Ford even doubted that the demon even wanted to feel such feelings. He is nothing but an example of pure insanity at its worst. Almost everyone in the whole multiverse knew.
The fact that any of this has even happened is utterly baffling to the old scientist and didn't make sense. But then again, nothing that involves Bill Cipher makes sense.
"S-Sir?" Ford heard the light voice of his nephew come from behind him.
"Yes?"
The boy nervously shifted on the metal table, his legs dangling off the side of it. "W-Why did you t-take me a-away from my h-home?"
Ford's heart dropped. One thing that Ford has taken note of is the fact that if his nephew is nervous, upset, or scared he would tense up and start stuttering his words and it got worse the more nervous he got.
As for the question itself- He didn't have an explanation, upon first laying his eyes on the child while Bill was torturing him, he didn't know who the kid was, he didn't know what he was doing there or how he got there, but now he does and he feels bad. This sweet little boy's entire life has been a lie and one single mess up and it will all come crashing down on him. Hopefully just calmly explaining to him what happened with the rest of the family around will help him get through and understand it better.
Without really answering the boy's questions, Ford got up from his seat and went to his desk, grabbing a few things.
Pine-Tree watched, kind of afraid by the sudden movement but stayed silent. Ford picked up a box from under his desk, taking out a few papers and binders, then putting the box back in place.
"I'll be right back, Dipper. I ask you to try to get to sleep."
Pine-Tree nodded as Ford left the room, leaving him there.
Wait- why did he call Pine-Tree, Dipper?

Everyone in the Fearamid was on their toes and quite worried. Bill had killed over 10 of the servants, trying to release his anger.
All the eye-bats and Henchmaniacs were out in the town looking for Pine-Tree, going through everything they could looking for him. Ensley and Bill were the most desperate. Ensley would search the small spaces the other couldn't go into and Bill was just destroying everything. He. Was. Pissed.
The demon wasn't talking to anyone and was not acting like himself. He was more insane than before, if that was even possible. Not only did those worthless flesh sacks sneak into his castle, they took Ford who was his key to get out of Gravity Falls and they took Pine-Tree.
HIS Pine-Tree! How dare they take something that's his.
Everyone has noticed Bill's change in behavior, even the slightest thing can set him into rage mode. Everyone has been on high alert.
Bill was sitting on his throne, drinking purple wine, visibly agitated, wondering where Pine-Tree could be. He floated up to the red eye-shaped window behind him, looking off into the town. "Come to me Sapling! Come back to me, now!" Bill shouted angrily, shattering the glass in his hand.
Before he knew it, some came into the throne room, quickly making their way to the foot of Bill's throne.
"Bill!" The sound of keyhole's voice echoed through the room. "We searched the entire town and no sign of Pine-Tree but-"
"TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW!" Bill bit him off, yelling at him. Keyhole jumped at the sudden exclamation but regained his composure before continuing.
"-but we did find one thing, a building. The Mystery Shack you would talk about. We can't get into it. It seems to have a barrier protecting it." Keyhole finished.
This information earned Bill's attention and intrigue fast. "There's no way the mortals could have gotten Pine-Tree out of the town without one of us noticing first!" Bill exclaimed, turning around. "He has to be there. Fetch me Ensley, Kryptos, and Pyronica." He ordered. Keyhole did just that. When the three arrived in the throne room Bill went over what they were going to do.
Since they couldn't interact with or go into the shack they would keep low, remain unseen, and make sure Pine-Tree is even there.
Then he'll make his move.
