Ensley flew slowly through the halls of The Fearamid, all she wanted to do was stay in Pine-Tree's room and cry until she ran out of tears but unfortunately Bill was quick to- not so nicely- inform her that she is still a servant and has things to do.

She almost refused but luckily her common sense was able to kick in and tell her how bad of an idea that truly was, so she relented... Maybe it would take her mind off of...

Pine-Tree....

Another tear fell from her eye. This had to end soon, she couldn't live like this. She had been alone for her whole life and now that she experienced love. It hurt to have it ripped away by a bunch of humans.

But Pine-Tree's a human too? He doesn't seem like one though, it's almost as if he really is one of them. That was something Ensley loved about him. He didn't have too much trouble figuring out how they all operate. That was something different about him. Humans she's seen aren't that accepting of change. He was. His personality is another thing she loves, the way he's so innocent and curious and just plain adorable, and the way he gets flustered around her...

Ensley smiles, remembering his flustered face. So cute! She wonders what she looks like when she's flustered. Probably not as cute as Pine-Tree, but it would still be interesting to see. She wonders if Pine-Tree thinks of her this way, if he were to find out about her attraction, would he like her back? If so, what happens then? Would they... be a couple? What would Bill think? Would he approve of the relationship? She's seen how he is about family and love...

"We are done talking about this, Pine-Tree." Bill said sternly.

The demon floated in front of the young 10 year old boy in the hallway, his voice echoing through it, Ensley watched the unfolding conversation with a sad expression on her face.

"B-But, I-I just w-wanted to-"

"I DON'T CARE." Bill yelled, turning red. "Families are worthless and pointless! There's nothing special about them, they're just a bunch of mortals that stay in the same home together. It's pathetic, and you have NO ROOM for a family in your life! GOT THE PICTURE?!"

Pine-Tree flinched, stepping back and quickly nodding, putting his head down as tears filled his eyes. Bill rolled his eye and sighed, turning back to normal color.

"Besides, you have me Pine-Tree." He said, floating down and fixing the kid's crooked bow-tie and wiping the little one's eyes.

"You don't need a family when you have me."

As Ensley's flashback faded her worried expression returned on her face. Would Pine-Tree even want her? He's been raised to believe family was nothing. Why would he want one now?

And with her... she's his friend... what if he says no and doesn't want to be friends with her anymore... no no no- that can't happen, right? RIGHT??? Oh who is she kidding... it has every possibility of happening and she might not even be able to stop it. What will Ensley do then? She doesn't know...

She's been a lone wolf for so long... she wants a family too...

Suddenly she was back in the hallway where Bill's throne room was... but she heard whispers... whispers that grew louder as she went closer to the throne room. Soon they got more recognizable, it was Bill. He was talking to himself, rubbing his eye and he seemed- frustrated, stressed, and anxious.

This was certainly strange behavior for the demon named Bill Cipher. Ensley knew Bill was not happy with Pine-Tree's disappearance but she didn't know it was this bad.

Before she could even feel a bit sorry for him, something surprising happened. Bill's eye lit up a bright, bright blue. Bright to the point Ensley had to shield her eyes from the light.

"Pine-Tree!" Bill exclaimed. The young fairy was insanely confused but when she looked up to see that the demon was gone, she understood what had happened.

She knew Bill wouldn't like this but without hesitation she immediately flew into the throne room, smashed one of the red glass pains that made up the giant red eye on the wall and flew out towards where the remaining humans in the town were taking shelter.

"YOU BETRAYED ME!" Pine-Tree yelled at the girl who was staring at him in horror. Then two men ran into the room, one was Ford and the other looked exactly like him. Mabel ran towards the two and took cover behind them.

This was definitely not going as well as Mabel hoped. Ford really did have a reason to keep him secluded from everyone else.

"Kid, calm down, it's okay." Ford said, slowly walking up to him. Pine-Tree didn't calm down though he still tried to push his way away from the man.

The other human survivors were all awake now. Most were scared, but some were just plain annoyed that this random kid woke them up in the middle of the night again with his nonsense.

"N-No! S-S-Stay away from m-me! Just s-stay away!" He yelled. All the survivors backed away from him but Ford continued his slow and calm approach.

It didn't calm the kid down though, in fact all the movement by the survivors made him more panicked. His head started to grow dizzy and his lips and nose started to feel tingly from his hyperventilation.

No... can't pass out! Not here! It's not safe here! Pine-Tree mentally yelled at himself. He looked beside him, the door was right there. Ford noticed how the kid looked at the door and started talking to him, but Pine-Tree was too panicked in his own mind to pay attention.

Within seconds Pine-Tree got up and ran out the door, leaving little time for Ford to react and run after him, but he still did, Stan and Mabel also quickly followed.

When Pine-Tree got outside he ran out and Ford was just behind him. In a panic to make him stay and not leave... he said the first thing that came to his mind.

"We are your family, kid!"

Pine-Tree's eyes had glowed a bright blue when he passed the barrier but... after hearing that he went back into the barrier.

But suddenly... "Pine-Tree!" An echoey voice shouted from behind him. Though, the emotion behind the voice could not be determined. It didn't sound sad but it didn't sound excited. It didn't sound angry, but it didn't at all sound happy.

Though, the expression on the human's faces said it all. Their expressions were some of confusion, desperation, and sadness.

Pine-Tree was in the place where he was just inside the barrier so Bill couldn't get to him, but he was just at the end of it so if the humans tried to run up and grab him, he could easily run to Bill before they had the chance... but... at the moment he didn't feel mentally stable.

He wasn't.

But yet... he had to make a stressful decision that- no matter what he chose- would change his life and the lives of everyone around him forever.
