Pine-Tree woke up, he was still insanely tired and didn't actually get up right away. All that training yesterday must have really tired him out.

One of the first things he noticed was, instead of there being silence, there was tons of noise and people talking and yelling.

In utter confusion, Pine-Tree made his way downstairs where all the servants, even some he's never seen before were all rushing around, carrying boxes, clipboards, and bags as if they were preparing for something. All were seemingly in a rush, though no one paid much mind to him, as per usual.

Pine-Tree went around, looking at everyone doing their things, luckily he was able to find Bill. Though, he seemed to be busy too. He was telling people what to do and where to go, but Pine-Tree didn't exactly understand though.

One of the servants Bill was talking to pointed at the boy standing behind him. Bill turned around to see him. "There you are my little sapling!" He said as he shooed the servant away.

"Hi, Bill! W-What's going on here?"

"They're preparing for something, you don't need to worry about that yet, for now, you know what day it is right?" Bill asked, with a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Yeah... I have to return Mabel's journal..." Pine-Tree said sadly. He didn't want to give up the journal, in fact Bill's kept him so busy, he hasn't had time to read it in its entirety. Much to his dismay.

"Yes, but... it's also the day we will be joining you!" Bill exclaimed. His excitement and a bit of stress now slightly showing.

Pine-Tree perked up when hearing this news. "R-Really?? That's amazing!"

Bill laughed. "Yes it is! Though, there are some things I need you to do in order to make such a thing happen."

The boy tilted his head in confusion and curiosity.

Bill spent the rest of the morning training Pine-Tree past the time he was supposed to meet Mabel; He did this on purpose... it was all a part of the plan.

"Very nice, kiddo! I can see that extra practice time you had yesterday paid off." Bill said.

Pine-Tree smiled with pride before coming to his senses with how much time went by. "Bill! I was supposed to give Mabel her book back hours ago! She must be so mad at me!" Pine-Tree panicked.

Bill laughed at his guilt. "Yeesh kid, relax! You can still return it to her."

"I-I can?"

"What do you mean you didn't get it?!" Ford asked, not angrily but urgently. Both Mabel and her great uncle were in a bit of a panic.

"H-He wasn't there! He promised me he would bring it back..." she said, disappointed.

"Sweetie, some people don't make good on their promises, not everyone in this world is good." Stan explained, walking into the kitchen where the two were.

Mabel looked down. "I know- I just- thought he was different from those people... he seemed so kind and polite. It was like I've known him for years. He seemed to lack any adventure in his life, I just thought maybe the journal could change that for him."

Stan rolled his eyes. "So what if he kept it, you don't need it Sixer. If it's as bad as Mabel says, surely we did him a favor."

Ford sighed. "I need to tell you something very important and you cannot tell anyone."

After Pine-Tree went back into the mortal world, he had the journal in hand and was making his way through the woods to find the place Bill described to him. Then he found it. The tourist attraction shack called 'The Mystery Shack!'

Wait- no... this must not be the right place... the sign says the Mystery Hack... ohh no this is the right place! The S just fell off! What an interesting place, Bill would like it when he gets here! Speaking of Bill. He needs to do what he said!

~

Ford led Mabel and Stan to an inner room of the Mystery Shack to make sure they couldn't be heard. He started locking the doors to the room and turning anything that could be a peephole or camera away.

"Woah, calm down Ford, haven't seen you this paranoid in 30 years." Stan said, attempting to calm him down.

"Stan, Mabel... you two can keep secrets right?"

~

Pine-Tree went around to the size of the mystery shack and got on his hands and knees, feeling around the ground for a weak spot. Suddenly the ground disappeared underneath him and he yelled as he fell through into a room with lots of computers and gadgets.

The boy curiously walks around a bit looking for Mabel until he finds his way into Ford's lab where a bunch of little glass lockers were kept. Just like Bill said! Now- where is it?

~

"Wait so there was a rift that could destroy the universe, it's cracking, and you didn't think to tell us?!" Stan yelled at his twin.

"I know Stanley, I know. I just didn't want you to worry, I knew if I had the journal I could find out what I need to patch it, but now I don't. In fact I don't even know where it is! How could I be such a fool?!" Ford yelled.

Stan put his hand on Ford's shoulder. "Hey, hey, it's alright. Just show us this rift, maybe we can figure it out."

Ford agreed and they made their way to the hidden elevator and down to Ford's laboratory under the Mystery Shack. When the elevator doors opened Ford's heart dropped when his eyes spotted a young boy dressed like Bill Cipher, yellow vest, Black bow-tie, and all holding the rift and his journal in his hands.

"Pine-Tree?" Mabel asked. Ford and Stan looked at her in shock while her eyes were fixed on the boy, but Ford quickly snapped out of it and slowly approached the kid.

"Bill?" Ford whispered as he slowly got closer, but he soon realized as he examined the boy's eyes, they didn't change to Bill's classic yellow cat eyes. This wasn't Bill.

Ford stopped as he suddenly heard whispers in his ears, though he couldn't understand them it was like they weren't talking to him.

~

Pine-Tree stood in the middle of the room, he had the rift in his hands, he was too scared to move. Sure Mabel was there but there were these two are mortals with him... one of them got closer and closer to him. Even calling him Bill once.

The man approached him, what if he wanted to kill him. The boy was too scared to do anything as he just stared as the mysterious man got closer and closer.

"Pine-Tree..." the boy heard in his ears... it sounded like Bill.

"They want to hurt you Pine-Tree. They want to take you away from me..."

Tears of pure and utter terror started to form in his eyes. He wanted Bill... he wanted to run... but he was petrified.

"I can help you. Just break the rift."

He tried to get his arms to move but he couldn't as the human got closer and closer.

"They're going to take you away, my little sapling. Mabel is helping them, she betrayed you. She wants to hurt you. They all do. Break the rift, I'll come and I'll protect you. I'll keep you safe. You can only trust me. I'm the only one that cares. Make me proud."

"Kid... just... hand over the rift. You don't know what it is." The human said.

"Smash it."

With that final push, Pine-Tree lifted his arms up over his head and threw the rift onto the ground as the glass and metal shattered into hundreds of pieces.

It was done.
