Ensley flew through the halls of the Fearamid checking every room as fast as she could ignoring all around her. She needed to get to Pine-Tree. She needed to hold him and hug him and apologize for the horrible things she just did to him.
She would understand if he didn't forgive her. What she did was horrible. Bill tortured him and she did nothing... she was too scared to do anything...
More tears filled in her eyes. Bill and everyone's right... she's just a stupid tiny little fairy who is just a pathetic slave and doesn't matter because she can't do anything to defend herself or attack anyone else.
No! She thought while wiping away her tears. I can't worry about myself right now, I need to help Pine-Tree because he matters and deserves to be happy, not sad and afraid.
That's when she got to his room. Behind the door she could hear the faint sniffles and coughs coming from Pine-Tree.
Ensley knocked on the door, softly saying the boy's name, but there was no response. Instead the sniffles and coughs went quiet, but a bit of shuffling can be heard- as if someone were moving inside the room- before it went back to silence.
Curious about what he's doing and still wanting to apologize, the fairy slowly opened his door and light slowly filled the completely dark room.
"P-Pine-Tree? Are- are you here?" She asked gently, slowly flying into the room. "I-I just w-want to talk to you for a minute. J-Just a minute, then I'll leave you all a-alone if you w-want me to." She said, looking around. The kid doesn't appear to be in this room, but that doesn't make sense, she just heard him. Unless...
She started looking around more, under the desk, in the closet, behind every corner until she got to under the bed. She got onto her knees, looked under the bed and there he was, facing away from her. "Pine-Tree." She whispered softly.
The boy looked towards her, his eyes widened and he immediately retreated further under his bed, away from her.
She stuck her hand under the bed for him to take. "Pine-Tree... I-" but he retreated further backwards, his eyes wide and full of fear. It shattered Ensley's heart... he's scared of her now, but he can't stay there forever... she needs to be able to talk to him. She needs help...
Then it came, she got up off the ground and flew out of the room. Flying through the halls looking... looking... for her-
Ensley flew up and landed on the floor in front of the pink demon, only reaching to about her knee because Pyronica was in her full form.
"M-Miss...?" Ensley mumbled. Pyronica looked down to her and scoffed.
"Yeah? What do you want?" She growled at her.
Ensley gulped. "I- uh... need your assistance with something ma'am."
Pyronica rolled her eyes. "What is it now? Since Bill got rid of the barrier I feel like running around this dimension and ruining human lives."
"I-I understand madam but I-It's about Pine-Tree. H-He's scared and won't c-come out of his h-hiding spot."
Now Pyronica was interested, her body glowed pink as she shrunk herself down to Ensley's height.
"What?! Where is he?"
Ensley motioned for the female demon to follow her, which she did.

As the ladies made their way through the halls Ensley explained the situation. Of course it all shocked Pyronica but... it didn't in a way. She was shocked because she thought Bill actually wanted to raise the kid with encouragement but still be hard on him and train him to be who Bill wants him to be.
But then again she isn't surprised because...
This is something Bill would do. He's- well- insane. Whether it was for entertainment or if he needed something, he would go this far. What confused her though is the fact that it was with Pine-Tree. She didn't think this was something he'd do to him. Pyronica surely wouldn't be able to do such a thing. She adored Pine-Tree's little face, she wouldn't be able to hurt him...
The two made it to Pine-Tree's room and slowly went inside but again no one appeared to be there, the two looked around for a bit but lo and behold... Pine-Tree is under his bed facing away from them.
Ensley put her hand on the boy's back to 'announce' her presence but was met with the same backing away and fearful eyes that she received last time.
The fairy and Pyronica moved to the other side of the bed and got back down onto their knees. "You try." Ensley whispered to her. Pyronica nodded, slowly touching Pine-Tree's arm. He exclaimed and quickly pulled his arm back, but then he noticed the difference.
The boy held onto the demon's hand and he crawled out from his hiding spot and into Pyronica's arms. When he noticed Ensley however, he dug his head into her chest, as if to get away from the fairy.
Ensley noticed and took a step towards the boy only to be blocked by Pyronica's arm. The demon pointed to the door. "Go. Leave us."
"W-What? P-Please I just wanted to-"
"No!" Pyronica snapped, causing Ensley to jump back in fear. "Go!"
Ensley's face saddened as she slowly flew out of the room, closing the door behind her. Maybe it was for the best. Maybe Pine-Tree just needs to calm down a bit, then she can talk to him, yeah. Yeah that's it. She just needs to wait.
~
"Shh~ It's okay, she's gone now." Pyronica cooed, trying to calm the crying child in her arms.
"You're okay, no more pain. I promise!" She ran her hand through the boy's soft brown hair, he still didn't talk, he just held Pyronica tightly and cried into her chest. She didn't mind, he was upset and rightfully so.
Though she was still confused on why. She understood that Bill used him to get the equation he needed, but why did Bill just leave him alone after that? That part didn't make much sense.
She'll have to ask him about it later, now is Pine-Tree's turn to have attention.
She sat on his bed and just held him close. All the boy wanted to do was cry. His mind hurt, his body hurt, his heart hurt.
He was in pain.
