After a while of thinking Pine-Tree was ready. The plan was set. It was going to happen. There was no room for failure. None. It would certainly be horrible if he failed...
What would Bill do to him if that happened?
He didn't want to think about it, he didn't want to have to deal with it. Not at all. The thought of what could happen frightened him. Frightened him to obedience. Bill told him not to fail so... he can't! Right? Hehe... yeah...
Carrying Pine-Tree by holding under his arms, Ensley was flying them both to the Mystery Shack, going over the plan they had concocted again just to make sure they had it down.
"And then after that we'll kill them all... uh... easy peasy! Right?" Pine-Tree said, hesitantly.
"Yeah- that's pretty much it! Hopefully everything goes as planned." Ensley responded.
Pine-Tree nodded his head, looking forward at the land they were passing. It was basically destroyed. Nothing but rubble and debris of the life this town once carried.
"M-Maybe we should hold this off a few days..." Pine-Tree mumbled.
Ensley stopped in her tracks, only keeping them up in the air, not going forward. "Hold this off a few- what?" She said, shocked. She flew them up into a tree and put Pine-Tree on a branch before sitting on it herself.
"What do you mean? Why would you want to hold this off? Didn't Bill tell you to get this done fast? He doesn't want to have to deal with them." Ensley questioned, still shocked and not quite understanding Pine-Tree's sudden change in attitude and decision-making.
"Yes... he does want me to do this fast but... I-..." the boy threw his arms up and shook his head. "That's just it... I don't know. M-Maybe I can't do this. I thought I could, no problem but-" he exhaled the last of his breath, not able to find the words to describe what he's feeling.
Ensley held Pine-Tree's hand in hers. "Do you not know if you can? Or do you not know if you want to?"
"Can? Er- want? I-I don't know! This is so complicated!" He exclaimed. "The problem is... Bill is going to punish me if I fail to do what he asked me to... That alone is horrifying. This shouldn't be a problem for me, I've killed so many disobedient humans and destroyed so many rebellions but it's like there's something stopping me from hurting this one group. I thought I could do this but maybe I can't." He explained to the best of his ability, trying to describe his emotions best he can. "It's like, even though they're manipulative and horrible, I just feel this connection towards one of them. A connection I've almost never felt before. It's- it's scary."
The truth is... when he saw Mabel for what he thought was the first time those few months ago, he felt something... he felt as if he had seen and met and talked to her before. Like their connection with each other was stronger than strangers, stronger than friends...
He's only felt something like this once before and that was when Ensley finally started speaking to him again.
...But this one was a bit different. Like him and Shooting Star were connected since birth. But that's impossible. They couldn't be connected since birth, that would make them twins. No way Pine-Tree could be a twin... no way. Especially twins with a horrible, weak mortal like her.
"Pine-Tree." Ensley started. "I know this is hard and I know you're having really mixed emotions that make this even harder, but whatever you do, I'm with you. You don't have to be afraid because whatever you choose to do, we'll do it together. You're not alone. We just have to do this for Bill, after this is done you'll feel so much better, it'll be great!"
Pine-Tree gave her a soft smile. "I guess you're right... I'll feel a lot better when this is done because I won't have to worry anymore and I shouldn't worry now because you're with me!"
"Yeah! I believe in you, Bill believes in you, same with Pyronica, Kryptos, and everybody else. The human race might not understand it, but they need you and Bill right?" Ensley asked.
"Yeah! They do! You're right!" Pine-Tree exclaimed proudly, standing up and almost falling out of the tree. "Heh... still need your help to get down..."
Ensley giggled before picking Pine-Tree back up and continuing their flight.
The fairy knew what she just did, she manipulated him into further believing the lies Bill had embedded into his mind. But, she knew it was for his own good and her safety. Bill would without a doubt and without hesitation, kill her if she didn't keep his story. Plus, Pine-Tree's entire existence would seem to be nothing to him if he found out the truth.
Finally, the two got to their destination.
The Mystery Shack.
Ensley flew them up into a tree so they wouldn't be spotted.
"Alright... now we just wait, right?" The fairy asked.
Pine-Tree nodded his head. "Yeah, we just wait for Mabel. If I'm right it should be anytime now, I think so at least... look!" He said, pointing at the window.
There was Mabel, putting on a backpack with a few others, a girl with brown hair put into a ponytail, and a girl with black hair and glasses.

"I think I'm ready, what about you guys?" Mabel asked, putting on her backpack and turning around to see her friends still packing their bags.
"I wonder what we're gonna find this time!" The gruff voice of Grenda said.
"I wonder as well, I hope it's more than the last time." Candy responded, putting her backpack on and fixing her glasses.
Mabel sighed and looked down. "I hope we find Dipper... I've been searching for months!"
Grenda and Candy looked at each other before going over to comfort their best friend. "It'll be okay Mabel. Besides, we've all seen the news. He's probably out with Cipher somewhere, we need to be patient and worry about ourselves." Candy stated.
Mabel smiled, looking back up. "Yeah. Yeah you're right! My bro is fine, we have time to think of something. For now we need to focus on our survival in this new world!"
"Mabel, I'm ready." Grenda informed them, putting on her own backpack.
"Alright then, let's go!" Mabel exclaimed. The trio walked towards the door, ready to go out and get more supplies. Luckily, they didn't need as much this time. Since Bill has taken over the rest of the world, there weren't many if not any demons left in Gravity Falls. So a good handful of the survivors who were hiding out in the Mystery Shack decided to go back to their homes to hide out and try to salvage what little they had left.
So with that being the case, Mabel and whoever came with her on this mission didn't have to take much, only a small backpack. They didn't even have to take weapons anymore which... seemed like a good idea but now... may seem necessary.
As the group walked outside they saw the blue line on the grass that Ford had put there to signal that that's where the barrier ended. They got closer and closer until they passed it but that's when it went down hill.
Suddenly Grenda and Candy were brought up into the air and held there by the same fairy that convinced Dipper to stay with Bill a few months ago.
And before she could do anything Mabel's heart dropped to the floor when she was grabbed by someone and a hand with blue flames on it was held next to her face.
"Hi there, Shooting Star! Long time no see!"
