~4 years later~

Pine-Tree ran and ran and ran as fast as he could through the forest of the nightmare realm, his forceful and fast breathing not breaking in the slightest, until his chest felt like a brick was lying on top of it.

The growls and footsteps from behind him made him run even faster, not stopping for anything. The fear was growing in the 11 year old's brain, afraid that he wasn't going to make it...

He ran and ran, reaching his arm out, so close! Just a little more! he thought to himself. The running behind him sped up. The suspense and tension were rising until he finally got to it!

With the simple touch of Bill's throne it was over. "I win!!!" The boy exclaimed, looking behind him. The Henchmaniacs came out behind him, out of breath, some even falling to their knees. "You're too fast, Pine-Tree!" Keyhole said to him, trying to catch his breath.

The boy laughed, "Up for another round?" He asked.

"NO!" All the demons yelled in unison. Until the one behind Pine-Tree started laughing. The boy turned around and faced Bill who was sitting on his throne.

Bill picked the boy up and sat him down on the armrest of his throne.

"So- did you think about it!?" The kid asked eagerly. Bill rolled his eye. "Pine-Tree, you've asked me the same question everyday for 4 years and now-"

The boy cut him off. "I know! But who knows, maybe one of these days you'll change your mind!"

"You're not going to drop the question are you?"

Pine-Tree thought for a moment. "Unless you say yes, NOPE!"

Bill sighed in annoyance and frustration. "Fine, tell ya what, kid. I'll let you go to your birth dimension under STRICT rules."

Now- Normally Bill HATES rules, but that's only the ones he has to follow. He doesn't mind giving out rules for others to follow. He wasn't strict on his henchmaniacs since he knew most of them were even here because they hated rules too. But Pine-Tree, however; Bill gave him rules and restrictions. He needed to keep the child on a tight leash; closely monitoring the people he spoke to, the books he read, the friends he had, and the things he did. With him being part of the zodiac wheel that can kill him, Bill couldn't risk the boy getting too rebellious.

Although, Bill is not stupid. He knew that the older the kid got, the more his brain would develop, and the more curious and rebellious he would become, but he had a plan... Over the years, on the kid's birthday, he would tell him about how on the day he turned 12 it would be a special occasion where he would drink a special drink that would stop him from aging any further. This would also stop his brain from aging. He would be at that perfect age, just in the middle of obedient and rebellious but still curious.

Over the years, Bill has accepted the fact that- he actually cared for this kid and things weren't going to go exactly as he had planned. He originally planned to raise the boy to be loyal only to use him as leverage against the Pines family during weirdmageddon and after he took over, he'd kill the boy along with his family. Now, though, that won't be the case. There's no way he can bring himself to kill this child, so he quickly devised a backup plan. He slowly started teaching the boy about magic. Starting with simple tricks like levitation and deal-making before eventually he moved on to more... intense magic.

He was grooming the boy to be his most powerful and loyal minion. And during weirdmageddon he would receive his final test- the order to kill his own family- pledging his allegiance to Bill and staying by his side as his Prince of Weirdness for all eternity. Oh- how perfect it would be.

But alas, Bill had to wait. He would get his chance, he just had to be patient, Pine-Tree wasn't ready yet and Bill's entrance into the dimension wasn't secured yet.

But it will be... all he needs...

is patience.
