The little boy sat at his desk in his room, writing in his journal. Looking back through the pages, he noticed his handwriting has much improved. Bill has been teaching him how to properly read, write, and draw.
He's been writing journal entries about his friends including himself, Bill, and Pyronica. Even Ensley and Divinity, although he hasn't heard much from them.
He used to try and talk to them all the time but they would either just ignore him or avoid him all together. They must have really not liked him. Every time they ignored him, he would see a tear form in their eyes. The boy eventually gave up trying to get their attention.
The last thing Pine-Tree heard from Divinity was that she had repaid the debt she owed from her broken deal and left a few days later. He has never seen her since. Luckily, she let him give her a hug before she left. It gave him closure on the friendship they had.
Ensley was still there though. She always came into his room while he was sleeping to pull out a new outfit for him to wear that day. He wishes she would just talk to him. But it seemed that she was still 'upset' with him for breaking rules. At least that's what Bill said.
Bill hadn't been around much recently. Pine-Tree hasn't seen him for at least 2 days.
He rarely saw Pyronica, she would only come around very few times. Most of the time she was around she was more in the background while Bill was the main character.
They were the only two that would interact with him directly. He didn't like it. Not at all. He wanted to make more friends, he didn't want to be confined to the walls of Bill's mansion.
On a few occasions he heard Bill talking about the friends he had. Pine-Tree started to get jealous, he wanted to have friends too. Someone to run around with and talk to. But no, he didn't have any.
Not that they would want to spend time with him anyway. It didn't bother him enough to bring his spirit down. But it did affect him without him knowing.
"COME HERE, PINE-TREE!!!!"
The boy jumped out of fear when he heard Bill scream his name. He couldn't tell if he was happy or angry... which made him more fearful.
Pine-Tree put his pen down and rushed out of his room. He was wearing a nice baby blue sweater with a white dress shirt underneath, gray pants, black shoes, and... of course- his Pine-Tree pin.
The boy quickly made his way down the halls and into the entry hall. He stopped before entering though. He didn't know why. He just did, thinking for a bit before cautiously walking in.
"There he is, finally. Pine-Tree!" Bill floated over and picked him up. He didn't seem very happy to be held.
"What's wrong, kid?" Bill asked. The boy put on a fake smile and hugged the demon. "Nothing!" He said. Bill just shrugged it off and brought him over to Pyronica. They gave their introductions and got on with their day.

It wasn't anything special, almost just a regular day but with Bill and Pyronica doing their errands and whispering to each other, most likely talking about him. They didn't know Pine-Tree knew they were talking about him, but he did.
It was around the end of the day, Pine-Tree wanted to go to bed, but he reluctantly stayed with Bill, not wanting to make him upset.
They were sitting at the dining table, Pyronica and Bill were talking to each other about several different things but Pine-Tree on the other hand was struggling to keep his eyes open, his head was lying in his arms on the table while he was starting to doze off, his eyes felt heavy until they shut completely and he fell asleep.
"Do you even know what he eats, Bill?" Pyronica asked the demon, curiously.
Bill adjusted his bow-tie, thinking to himself. "I guess not, I've never fed him before, the slaves are the ones who feed him and clean up after him."
After a moment of thinking he continued. "It shouldn't be too hard to find out what he eats, he's just a pathetic human. I'm pretty sure they'll eat just about anything if you cook it."
Pyronica didn't seem sure, as if she didn't exactly believe him. "Well, even I wouldn't eat anything, are you sure humans would?"
Bill rolled his eye. "Trust me, 'ronica, as an ancient all-knowing chaos God, I know for a fact that humans burn all their food before eating it. So, THIS!"
Bill made a bowl appear in his hands before slamming it down onto the table in front of the sleeping boy, making him jolt awake in fear.
"Is more than edible."
Pine-Tree looked at the bowl as a look of disgust was plastered on his face because of the horrid smell that came from the contents. Inside the bowl was a large black spider looking creature with green ooze underneath.
Bill looked at the boy, "C'mon, Sapling! Take a bite!" He exclaimed, proud of his creation.
Pine-Tree pulled it towards him, still disgusted before lifting the dish up and dropping it on the floor with a crash. Bill just blankly stared at him before turning red with giant flames appearing on his hands.
"You... INSOLENT WORM!"
The boy looked up at him in pure terror as tears formed in his eyes.
"DISGUSTING, UNGRATEFUL, LITTLE BRAT!" Bill continued before pushing the boy off his chair with magic. But the kid quickly got up and ran out of the room sobbing.
Bill calmed down and went back to his normal yellow color.
Pyronica cleared her throat, breaking the silence. "That uh- That went well." She said. Bill looked at her with a 'really?' expression on his face. Before flying out of the room trying to find Pine-Tree. He went to the boy's room and saw him lying on his bed, tears still in his eyes.
"Look, Pine-Tree..."
The boy turned away from him, putting his blanket over his head.
"Really, kid? We're going to do this?"
No response.
"Fine! If you want to do it the hard way-" Bill picked up the boy but before he could even do anything, Pine-Tree screamed as loud as he could, shaking his entire body, taking Bill by surprise.
He didn't stop until out of shock and curiosity Bill released him and he fell back onto his bed. The boy climbed down and hid under the bed.
Bill just sighed and rubbed his eye with annoyance before just flying out of the room, turning off the light and closing the door behind him.
Great. He kidnapped a kid and now he actually has to raise and nurture it?! This is not what he thought was going to happen!
But something hit him when he saw the boy with tears and horror in his eyes. He loved seeing him scared but he also felt... bad?
