1 DAY TILL
Pine-Tree hasn't seen Bill at all today. It wasn't strange, but rather- unexpected. Pyronica told him that he was busy planning something, so he didn't question it.
Today was his day off- no chaos, no teaching session, no pressure to do something horrible, just a calm day in the castle; he's caught up on some reading, some sleep, more reading, more sleep, and even experimented in the kitchen a bit, with staff supervision of course.
Today almost seemed too calm. It was suspicious... but nonetheless, Pine-Tree took advantage. He was happy with the non-chaotic environment; It was a nice change.
"Pine-Tree."
He looked up from the book he was reading to see one of the servants in front of him.
"Y-Yes?" He asked nervously.
"Lord Cipher wants you to go out into the back courtyard and practice all of the magic he taught you. 'Says you are to practice it for the rest of the day until you perfect as much as you can." The servant explained, void of emotion.
Pine-Tree groaned internally. He didn't want to; performing those tricks always made him insanely tired. Not to mention, he just wanted to relax all day. Though, it was already half way through the day, so... it wouldn't hurt.
He gave a fake smile and nodded, the servant walked away, once he did, Pine-Tree's 'smile' dropped. He got up, put his book back, and made his way downstairs, grabbed a metal cup, and trudged out into the courtyard.
He plopped himself down in the middle and started his little routine.
By the orders of Bill, 2 servants stood at the doorway and kept their eyes on him. They didn't entirely know why he needed to be watched, he was sitting completely still doing nothing for a long time. Until a little blue spark came from his hand, though, it went out as soon as it was there.
The servants rolled their eyes. They don't understand why they need to sit here and watch this little kid do nothing for hours. If he ran away, where would he go? What would he do? What's the worry?
Most of the servants didn't like him at all, they were either angry at the fact that they had to obey a stupid mortal child or they were jealous because the King favored him over anything and everyone else.
They all knew what was going to go down tomorrow though. They couldn't wait to see how this child was going to react to it all! To them it was exciting.
A few hours passed, Pine-Tree was still just sitting on the ground doing his thing. He manages to get his trick done right a couple times, in fact, once he hit the metal cup in front of him so hard that it flew and hit a servant in the head. Let's just say he had a stern talking to, though, he hadn't any control over that. Luckily, he was able to get it more under control.
A little while later he started working on levitation, trying to make the metal cup float. That was an easy one since it was one of the first things Bill taught him.
Eventually he just passed out, waking up to a servant picking him up and bringing him to his room.
